Any chance of getting an option so a member has to pay a fee via paypal every time they want to add a new clasified.

This is supposed to be coming out soon I believe. At least in the paid version, I'm not sure about the free version.

Any ideas what is causing this ?

Just do a search in phrases and change it from Classifieds to whatever you want.

AdminCP->Language and Phrases->Search In Phrases

It should be noted that with some shared servers you cannot use 777, but must use 755 instead. a security thing.

Why can't I use 777 permissions?

777 permissions on folders and files is a website security risk, so we do not allow you to have them. Most hosting companies now use suPHP servers, thus 755 will allow PHP to read, write and execute scripts just like 777 does. Because of this, most scripts work when you use 755.

The alpha code for this has been written. However, it has not yet been released for testing, and apparently it will be a $20 add-on to the paid product. Or maybe anyone will be able to purchase and use it, we're not sure. I wish I knew more.

Just installed this, very neat add-on. Thanks. Is it possible though to remove the Classifieds tab from the Navbar? I would instead like to place it in a drop down tab. I couldn't figure out how to do it.

Great mod, installed it and have few bugs:

When I restrict "moderator" option to some user group, that button shouldn't be visible to them anymore. I know they can't use it, but just to see it is not good.
When I receive PM for sale, currency is missing after ammount.
If I enter amount in this format " 8 450 000", after submiting it will show only 8,00

I have it installed this on my test site and it seems to work great and as far as classifieds I really like it.

I have read every post on these 12 pages and have to say I am a little hesitant to buy the "pro version" due to the seeming lack of attention in this "free" or one might even argue "promotional" version from the development team. I am going to ask a question hopeing that the developers pick up on it, if even just to tell me it's in the pro version.

So here is a question for you, hopefully you guys as a community can help me.

I have it all working blah blah blah but I don't want users to be able to make their classifieds "premium" unless they are paid subscribers to my forum. I want to offer the "premium" advertisment option to a special group of users. I don't mind all registered users posting a classified but I only want my premium members making "premium" classified adds.

Anyone got any ideas on this?

Please give some attention to some "unimportant" details. I'm woman, 51 years old, married, having a big family to care of. Also add the fact that I don't have just one mod released. I'm not promoting anything. Don't need it. My bugs free code, promote my mods itsself. Don't get it wrong. Sure there are bugs. Every mod has. But at least 6 months now, there were just 7 on this mod, most of them typos.

Just set priority 1 to the usergroup that you want to promote, and set priority 2 (or higher) to other usergroups.

Thank you for your support and the translation. Just be carefull, that you've placed 2 times "m" (meses, minutos) so you'll get wrong results. Change one of them to "M".

Have you working it in other mods or parts of vB? I'm using normal vB functions to clean input values, and in this case, I'm cleaning it as Numeric. So, it depends on vBs core files how they treat the numeric values. But if it works in another part of vB, I'll check it to find out why acts such a way.

There is no import function at all. You would just close your Classified forum to new posting, sticky an explanation, then delete it after 30 days or so.

The only alternative in vb4 right now is http://www.photopost.com/class/ . I have a PhotoPost test site up, but sort of fell into using this one since the integration and support seem better.

I think there might be some small bugs but she just announced a new version with fixs for the purchased version so hopefully she will do an update to this free mod
