Can't get it to work. Tried all the different settings, but nothing

3DUInc 01-21-2010 02:14 PM

Outstanding, you would think that this would be default for vb4, especially vb4suite.

Thank you rated, installed, voted :)

voglermc 01-21-2010 04:24 PM

I so want this to work! I have disabled all products and reinstalled this and still nothing. Anyone willing to help?

flegul 01-21-2010 04:30 PM

Works perfect, Thanks

microlight 01-23-2010 06:42 PM

I would really like to have this mod on my site but only on some of the forums not all of them. Is this possible / or if not, is it considered for adding.

This mod don't work on my board!

saadessa 01-24-2010 06:37 PM

thank you for this hack

captkirk 01-25-2010 03:59 PM

Not working for me either.

Fusion2 01-26-2010 12:58 PM

When you have Widgets displayed in sidebar, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th columns dont display well. It wraps the sub-forums and creates gaps etc.

But, it looks awesome, when i disable the sidebar widgets!

Tripolis 01-26-2010 03:59 PM

Hasann,

wenn ich Change 1 Column, i want to see the Last Post in Every sub-forum.

Can you t ell me how can i make this?

APD Shinjo 01-28-2010 11:55 PM

The add-on does work guys. You need to goto your vBulletin Options, goto "Forum Listing Display Options" and for "Depth of Sub-Forums" put 1.

Then the add-on should work fine.

Hasann,
I think I know why users are saying it doesn't work. At least this is the reason I did at first.

On forum home I see NO subforums displayed at all but when I view a forum category, I do see them. See screen shots below

Hey guys -

Anyone able to get the subforum mod to work with the YUI tabbed home mod?

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...ghlight=tabbed

Need to get it together, but dont know where to add on the code.

HRCHOSTING 02-08-2010 11:49 PM

installed and working, but wish we had control over which forum catagories get the mod. I only want it on one of the catagories, not the others that have sub forums.

Hendrizius 02-09-2010 03:07 PM

This mod works partially, it does not create the columns for me.

Pro-eSports.com 02-13-2010 11:11 AM

Great modification. I'm new to vBulletin so can someone please tell me where I can find the settings in the AdminCP to manage the columns/sub-forums?

ShawnV 02-17-2010 03:09 PM

I'd like to have that answer too -- both together -- great nav system -- for big site... much better "info architecture"... hope it's an easy fix...

good to know it works on 4.0/2... but if it works w/ tabs -- that would be huge

TY

starli 02-22-2010 05:34 PM

Front Range 4x4 02-22-2010 05:39 PM

Not working in IE8 and vb 4.02 PL2. Working in FF and Chrome though.

KissOfDeath 02-24-2010 12:12 PM

this mod gives me a whole heap of html invalidation errors...

Code:

#  Warning  Line 62, Column 64: cannot generate system identifier for general entity "langid"

…="text/css" href="css.php?styleid=6&langid=1&d=&sheet=forumhome_sub_forum_man

An entity reference was found in the document, but there is no reference by that name defined. Often this is caused by misspelling the reference name, unencoded ampersands, or by leaving off the trailing semicolon (;). The most common cause of this error is unencoded ampersands in URLs as described by the WDG in "Ampersands in URLs".

Entity references start with an ampersand (&) and end with a semicolon (;). If you want to use a literal ampersand in your document you must encode it as "&" (even inside URLs!). Be careful to end entity references with a semicolon or your entity reference may get interpreted in connection with the following text. Also keep in mind that named entity references are case-sensitive; &Aelig; and æ are different characters.

If this error appears in some markup generated by PHP's session handling code, this article has explanations and solutions to your problem.

Note that in most documents, errors related to entity references will trigger up to 5 separate messages from the Validator. Usually these will all disappear when the original problem is fixed.
# Error Line 62, Column 64: general entity "langid" not defined and no default entity

…="text/css" href="css.php?styleid=6&langid=1&d=&sheet=forumhome_sub_forum_man

This is usually a cascading error caused by a an undefined entity reference or use of an unencoded ampersand (&) in an URL or body text. See the previous message for further details.
# Warning Line 62, Column 70: reference not terminated by REFC delimiter

…/css" href="css.php?styleid=6&langid=1&d=&sheet=forumhome_sub_forum_manager.c

If you meant to include an entity that starts with "&", then you should terminate it with ";". Another reason for this error message is that you inadvertently created an entity by failing to escape an "&" character just before this text.
# Warning Line 62, Column 70: reference to external entity in attribute value

…/css" href="css.php?styleid=6&langid=1&d=&sheet=forumhome_sub_forum_manager.c

This is generally the sign of an ampersand that was not properly escaped for inclusion in an attribute, in a href for example. You will need to escape all instances of '&' into '&'.
# Error Line 62, Column 70: reference to entity "langid" for which no system identifier could be generated

# Error Line 111, Column 91: document type does not allow element "link" here

…tp://devils-shadow.com/favicon.ico"/>

The element named above was found in a context where it is not allowed. This could mean that you have incorrectly nested elements -- such as a "style" element in the "body" section instead of inside "head" -- or two elements that overlap (which is not allowed).

One common cause for this error is the use of XHTML syntax in HTML documents. Due to HTML's rules of implicitly closed elements, this error can create cascading effects. For instance, using XHTML's "self-closing" tags for "meta" and "link" in the "head" section of a HTML document may cause the parser to infer the end of the "head" section and the beginning of the "body" section (where "link" and "meta" are not allowed; hence the reported error).
