Sorry the error was on my end. Something caused a rewrite in my .htaccess file that caused me a number of issues that I wasn't aware of at the time I was doing an uninstall of your mod. Everything back to normal now and including your mod which was reinstalled and working great. :up:

I had retraced what I was doing at the time and what I did, I disabled CMS because I wasn't planning on using just yet. I uninstalled your mod a few others and after doing so I decided to enable CMS to look at something and when I did something wrote a rewrite command to my .htaccess file stopping redirects. It wasn't until later after posting to you about not completely uninstalling that I went in my forum and seen I had no icons, buttons, pics are anything. Nothing was being redirected to the forum and this was apparently causing the admincp not to 100% refresh. I finally traced my problem down and deleted the rewrite command and everything starting working again including the removal of your settings panel from my admincp. I reinstalled your mod along with the others and all is working fine.

I don't think I worry myself sick over your code, looks like an unexplained glitch in my forum causing some weird behavior at the time. :erm:

Looks like a great product!
I had installed, but received errors, so I disabled it.
I figured I would re-install all files to see if that would help. I'm still getting two errors.


One is, I get a database error when viewing a post

I have a feeling that this has to do with a prefix as another member lolo? on Nov 18th posted a modified product-marco1_hide.xml to work with databases with prefixes. This makes it work, BUT now when I click on Messages Manager, I can't edit any messages.

Second error I get is when I click on the Version Checker...
Any help would be appreciated.

First of all I'm didn't use any database changes to see database errors :), So that's from other Mod "saj716_vbull.post" this table doesn't exists you need to search what's the Mod using this table any contact the developer.

I figured it out. I combined the changes from the modified lolo file and the newest version and now your program works fine. Seems if you have a prefix for your vbulletin, MARCO1 hide all will not work.
"vbull" is my prefix I use.

Still can't figure out the second problem though. I'll work on that later.

Looks like in the second Issue is your host disabled "file_get_contents" function which I'm using in my version checker.

Yes, Admin and Moderators can view the links without reply, Also you have a usergroups permission so custom it as you like :D

It is not working for me.I am the only one who can see the link without reply.If you can find a solution for me I would be very grateful to you Marco. I want to be able to make a custom usergroup where I can choose whether they will need to reply or not to see the link.

I activated the options to hide links from guests only and set group permission 1

It's not working man....Only on printable version it's working

but when I see the thread as a guest...I can see the links normally

For 3.8.4 use the Magic Tool Box. Thats have the option with the [hide.] & [/hide.] tags. And works good on 3.8.4.

This Mod is only work on vBulletin 4, And will never working on 3.8.

I don't use any database query in this Mod, It should be conflict with one of your Mods using database changes, But my Mod don't make any change in database. Please try to enable my Mod and disable all other Mods and let me know does the problem still appear ?

i have tried this befor - testing disable every mode to find out from which mode the problem comes from ... an when i have your hack enable then i have the database error ..... when i disable the hack then everthing is fine ... i dont unterstand whats going wrong :( i would like to use your hack because it sounds great from the discription

But I have another vb3.8, On it - I had your HIDE Links for Guests by MARCO version 2.0 installed on it, but after I looked at this, I uninstalled it but found that it doesn't work for 3.8. Now I have lost the earlier working version of your (old hide links) hack. :( Can you help me by any means...?

Apologies for that my friend, However this feature will be in the next version as you know I'm now working hard to get this Mod working with 3.8

After installing it i cant enter to any post.
On the mail that is sent shows:

MySQL Error : Table 'web.post' doesn't exist

The table should be vb_post so prefix is not being recognized.

this is a very nice mod! just a few small problems im having.

1. because i had hide hack installed before all my links are inside [hide] tags and they are not hidden with this mod.

2. when someone replies they have to refresh the page to see the link. is there anyway to make it so they dont have to refresh?

Yes, This Mod doesn't use the Hide BBCODE, Until now they should refresh the page to see the links,Attachments.
