I just installed this and I am running: (vBulletin 4.0.2 Patch Level 1)

There is no link that shows up on any user profile pages for me. I changed it to yes for my account as directed in the instruction. Any ideas what I did wrong?

Download the zip file, open the xml file with an editor and:

find
Code:

$template_hook['profile_right_first'] .= $tab_html;

replace with
Code:

$template_hook['profile_sidebar_first'] .= $tab_html;

Save the xml file and re-import with the overwrite option set to 'yes'.

Paul. 04-23-2010 10:33 PM

Works fine for me 4.0.2

Would be a nice feature if they didn't appear online when an admin has logged into their account for whatever reason.

Jabong82 04-25-2010 06:32 AM

I had this on 4.0.2 and upgraded to 4.0.3 and it still works fine.

Same here, it just loops around to the members profile.

My only resolve is to disable/uninstall it until I need it again.

Bansheebob 05-07-2010 11:24 PM

I have no access to "Administrator permissions" page in admin cp, says I must edit a template. Anyone know how to do this?

Bansheebob 05-07-2010 11:32 PM

No. You can't edit templates unless you have admin access.

It loops back to the member's profile when you log back into your account. If you watch the Hello, {username} area at the top, you will see it change. It does work. The looping back to the member's profile takes a little getting used to, though.

Are you the SuperAdmin or just an associate Admin? The SuperAdmin would need to give you permission to edit templates.

Bansheebob 05-08-2010 11:19 AM

I am the owner of the site and "Administrator"

Boofo 05-08-2010 11:23 AM

Then you need to go into your config.php file and set your userid as the SuperAdmin.

Alecsmith 05-08-2010 05:51 PM

cant see Log in button on Profile Page ??

i am using Vb 4.0.3 latest version

Boofo 05-08-2010 10:11 PM

Did you do the hook edit from a few posts back?

popcornic 05-11-2010 10:52 AM

I can't get back to my previous login - stuck on another user's login even after I click on "You are currently logged in as another user. Click here to log back into your account".
I have to clear cookies every time in order to be able to login to my admin account.

Is there some problem with getting out of the "other" user's account?

blakepilot 05-12-2010 04:23 AM

Not working for 4.0.3. Did the edit and everything.

Boofo 05-12-2010 04:33 AM

It is running on 4.0.3 PL 1 fine here.

Ya got it thanks :)

Now i can see button in profile page :)

Keysailor 05-18-2010 12:11 PM

Working fine on 4.0.2 PL1 after the code fix listed a few pages back (I did it manually).

Now I'm going to try it out on my test server 4.0.3 PL1

Thanks for a great hack that is really useful! I can test user account issues and functionalities without having to compromize their password.

Another post talked about not wanting the user to show up in WGO, I just pop into admincp and allow that user to set 'invisible' and then go invisible when I'm doing it. Later (if I remember), I reset their account so they can't go invisible. Works.

Unfortunately, that's not the case for me.

You're having the same issue as I am encountering by the sound of things. Let me guess, when you hover over the 'click here to log back into your account' hyperlink at the top, the link is only to the member profile to whom you are logged in as?

I'm wondering if perhaps there is a mild issue due to vbseo perhaps..?

Actually it jumps to some other forum member's login for some reason, not to the one I had originally logged into. It's really annoying and I try not to use this feature as a result.

Bansheebob 05-25-2010 05:00 PM

Working fine for one week on 4.0.3 then all of a sudden it doesnt work. If I click on 'log on as user' the page flashes right back to me again.

Boofo 05-25-2010 05:19 PM

You must have added another hack after this one that is interfering with it then. There's no way it would work fine and then just stop working on its own.

Bansheebob 05-25-2010 05:37 PM

yeah i dont know, i uninstalled it then reinstalled it and now im not even getting the 'log in as user' in members profiles.

Bansheebob 05-25-2010 05:38 PM

hmmm........ i just integrated the newest photopost gallery too, maybe thats it.

ok works on if i use http://www.ai.com

if i use http://ai.com then it does not work on firefox 3.6.3 strange or something else is wrong with vb 4.0.3 not sure

Speedy2000 05-29-2010 09:31 AM

Not working with 4.0.3. It doesn't show up in the User Profile section, and when I log on as a different member using the Edit User feature, I can't get out again. When I click the 'you're logged on as a different user' button, it just brings me to the user profile page.

SpankMe 06-11-2010 06:26 AM

The following error is displayed from the modcp->view user page with this mod enabled.

Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #1 is not an array in [path]/modcp/user.php(349) : eval()'d code on line 13

Tested...works in IE 8 but not FireFox 3.6.3...But other than that, it is a great mod because some members have joined recently and my admins needed to check and see if they were advertising ^^

ProFifaLeagues 06-13-2010 08:17 AM

Works fine for me in firefox 3.6.3!
