Actually, I think I made a mistake. ;) Yellowpeter said "or we..." so maybe they had some input on the release region as well. I just assumed something like that would be up to Apple's sole discretion. Maybe the app authors also have some say. Yellowpeter?

Well yes we get control of where it is released. Just that we feel it is not ready for non-U.S. region for this version that's why we postponed it. We promise the new version pending on apple approval is a much better version performance and stability wise.

Having that said it shouldn't stop you to download the current version as upgrade is free and done automatically by iPhone. :)

I'm canadian and been testing tapatalk with our sites and projects for little over a month. Now tapatalk has come a long way, we're definatly not left out even if only aproved for US to start.

Its definatly come a long way, we've been testing with vbcredits site & other sites, client sites. So far with awesome results.

the new version is so much faster and more stable. i didn't realize how much it had improved until i tried the version in the app store for a day just to see how different they were. had to add the adhoc version back ASAP. hahaha

The version submitted to app store is 1.2 which contains bug fixes and major speed improvement.

The development team is working on the 1.3 version that *hopefully* can finish Private Messaging on time.

Our goal is to evetually get to the Push Notification where Private Message / Subscribed Topics push to your iPhone as soon as it is updated. But this will need more testing as it involves much more complicated setup and additional stress to our server.

We have released the vb MOD 0.9.12 as a on-going minor update. Here are some of the highlights:

- Compatible to more plugins - if you have previously disabled some plugins to make it work with Tapatalk, you can try re-enable it and see if this release help.
- Minor character encoding fixes

This is great! Glad it finally got released. I have it installed server side and the app on my iPhone now.

So far so good though, I love it! I am still finding that it's faster to surf my forum via Safari through the use of WiForums WAP software, WiFo also supports the bullet points noted above.

Once it's a bit faster and more feature rich I am sure it will be my weapon of choice!

For the speed issue you will see significant improvement in next version that is optimized for iPhone 3.0 OS!

As for Private Messaging it is in development and we feel confident that it will be in the release after. I expect later this month.

I think as far as were its available is somewhat dependent on apple, I'm hoping for Canada soon as I have a lot of vbulletin clients locally that would love this as well.

The version 1.1 you purchased from iTunes has a reply bug when posting from 3G network (IP address changing problem) but we have fixed it in 1.2 version that is currently pending on Apple.

Really soon - as soon as Apple approved it - earlier this week we were working with them to get the Rating to 17+ as the app content is user generated - so now another process to get their final approval.

Yes every update go thru the same process, even for critial bug fixes! On one hand it is annoying but on the other hand it does push us to provide better quality of app that everyone else benefit from it.

Can't wait to get 1.2 app available on the store - it has significant improvement over 1.1 especially speed and session management improvement that I wish we could include all these into 1.1 that is selling on the app store.

Having that said it doesn't stop you to try it now as upgrade is always free. And the earlier you try the more likely you will find issues (which you already did just today I notice ;-) ) and we will fix it ASAP.

Sorry the current release is only for U.S. app store. But the next release (currently pending on Apple will be available worldwide.

Wouldn't it make more sense to charge forum owners for the plug-in instead of end-users for the app? The reason I say this is that I doubt there is going to be a flood of iphone users paying $3 to browse a forum they can already browse with safari. However, if it were free, they might just grab it. As a forum owner I would actually prefer paying for it instead of my users. I don't want to put the time into adding it to my forum,testing, etc, with the thought that not many will probably use it.

Just my 2 cents and I could always be wrong. :)

im on the support forum so much i forget about coming here.

i absolutely love the app. i see so much potential in it. the customer service is great. you really feel like they pay attention to suggestions and concerns.

having private messaging makes a big difference. i didn't even realize how much more i would enjoy the app with it.

I've just uploaded the contents of the zip file to my forum directory and went to your website to set it up and your database is failing. I even tried registering in your forums to no avail.

Looks fantastic, i know alot of my members have iphone's so they'll love this, shame its not available in the UK yet, but i know it will be soon. :)
