We just tried to install this since we had some members asking for it. Looked like it was working well and then minutes later our entire site went down. It appeared that an issue with apache not loading was causing the problem. We are running Apache 2.2.14 and PHP 5.2.12. What could cause this issue?

Hello drumbum,

Can you elaborate more about the issue? What do you mean by "apache not loading"? The plugin does not involve any change to your system, it is simply a plugin on top of your existing vB. If you can provide more clues we will be able to look into it for you.

Installed in a medium forum (150k registered users), tested on a blackberry 9000 and working great.

Is there a chance that any new thread/reply goes with the signature "Posted from Tapatalk" and a link?

I am a computor simpleton.
I would like to download this. It mentions to download it to my root files.
Do I have to make a new file for it under my root or does it automatically make a new file and place it where it is supposed to go in the root.

root is where your vb software is installed some have it /forum/

in other words it will be in the directory where your admincp file is located

lol he probibly got flagged as a spammer from his host, this cause's you to get the 403 or 404 error at your website.

and would have to cmod his public_html dir back to 755, happened to me this morning so i installed this version as i was running the latest version from tapatalk

Good to see it is working well:D

Easy Installation, good product, however the massive amount of SPAM users in the hundreds per day signing up caused me to abandon the product, it is still installed for members, but not listed at all on the Tapatalk website.
I also had to implement a large ip range block as the bots continued to sign up for weeks.

We should be allowed to add the forum from invitations sent from website for the new users who won't b able to find the forum on the tapatalk website.

Doug

We would love to hear what made you think it encourages spam users? We don't even have the registration API?

On 3 different occasions when I listed the site at tapatalk, it began when I removed it it ended.

As I said it was so bad I had to implement massive ip range blocks.

I love the product, and it works great, I currently use it on my phone, but can't have it listed which makes it impossible for New users to find.

I wouldn't and am not bad mouthing the product in any way, but I am positive somehow these massive numbers of bots are finding the sites listed through this product directory.

I must not have the product installed correctly to display to new users so I will verify that, but it isn't listed at tapatalk.

Like I said amazing product easy to use but I hate spam registrations and 100's a day sometimes thousands was killing my site.

Send me an e-mail if you need any info, logs, stats etc.
Thanks.
