Does this mod allow you to add banners to each individual fourm or can you only add banners in the navbar?

For example i have a sponsor paying for advertising on a certain board only. I want to add their banner to the forum and not include anyone elses. Any have an idea how to do this?

I installed product / plugin - uploaded several banner ads to rotate..It's working fine. I do have one problem I could use some help with.

The click area for the banner ads seems to take an area 2x the width of the banner ad... see screen shot.. (it's an adult site so I blurred the content) see area outlined in red... that is also part of the click area for banner ad.. it is causing some problems with logo to the left.. How can I edit/fix:confused: this?

When i add $cyb_flashimagebanners It makes anyhting around it go to the link , how can i fix this.. Also it doesnt auto add to custom templates, Is there any code i can use to put it in the header of the skilltest theme?

Just wanted to say for people having a problem when they have a custom theme or if they click and it goes to some wierd url then you need to modify his file. I have tested on six forums so far and works great. I had to hard code the url. If you do a search in his xml file for

you see he does have an error by my terms. I changed it to below and works and also fixed the smiley error part.

results may vary but this is how i got it working on custom themes and also other boards that was having issues.

What specifically did your code change fix - the link going to wrong URL or other issues?

that actually solved when i posted his code and it sent me to a smiley page. I then looked at code and seen there was wrong code. Once i did that and moved the code to User CP it started to work.

Just for clarification, this handy mod can be used to rotate over an existing site header, assuming dimensions and position of images matches the header?

Meaning the existing site header is always in place, but then the images put into the rotation are just overlayed on top of the header?

well it works like a flash header but with just images ..you put four images and they rotate out and go in sequence.

I have a question and that is with regards to account access to the hack. It says only SuperAdmins have access.

I have found that the link to "Manage Banners" from the Navbar does not show for my 2 other Administrator level accounts. Full access has been granted.

So where is my error?

I am unsure. If it is custom skin you have to actually place the code ..if not it should be there ..unless the path is somehow wrong . That is something i would have to see .

I had to simply read just a few more lines down, b/c CYB is just UberSense-ible.

I am account #1 (Administrator UserGroup), the root user of the site. I am the only one that sees the said Link in the QL (Manage Banners)

I have 2 other people in the same Usergroup, using the same style, and they do not see the Link. I even added Super Mod as a secondary group and no change.

Is it possible to run two instances of this, say cybbanners and cybanners2? I would like to have a version for a banner up top and a square banner on a sidebar.

I tried to do a quick find and replace of some code to try and get two banners going, but I failed.

What else needs to be renamed?

I'm not seeing the problems some of you are. This hack installed and worked perfectly for three different installs, smooth as silk everytime.

I really hope this mod gets ported over to 4.01. It makes life easy for handling simple banner rotations with zero hassle

Hmmmm, nice Hack. But it doesn't work as expected. When I click on an banner, I get a Error-Message about a Securtity-Token-Error (Have the message only in German).

Can anybody help me to repair that?

Thanks for a great mod. It works well for me, no problem with links etc. I have to say that the install instructions assumed knowledge that I didn't have. If it wasn't for the help of other posters on this thread I would have given up on a good mod. Thanks for the help guys.

I also vote for the ad timeout option. Start date and time, end date and time, or permanent display.

I think you would just place the call for cybimagebanner rotator where you want it to display. I think the template that displays the different posts for a given thread is FORUMDISPLAY.

You can do that with the left margin option that's in your ACP. I run standard banner sizes and set that option to 400 and excess clickable space is now gone.

Now if I can just get the rotation times independent of each other ill be doing good, as of right now all banners are displayed for the amount of time the last banner is set to. No matter what there individual settings are.

Is there a way to get your banners to show up on the threads? I have mine in the top right corner, it works on all pages but the showtread page.

Banner Alignment Problem Over Header Image

Recently I changed my header to be split into three images set in a table as shown below.

QUESTION: Where in my header code must I put $cyb_flashimagebanners to make my banners show up ontop of my right side image (4C_Header_Right.png)

PROBLEM: No matter where I put $cyb_flashimagebanners in my header code it aligns messed up and NOT over the top of my right side header image.

SOLUTION?: Can someone provide me with a header code to get my banners to show on top of my right side image please.

is this good for latest version of VB? mine says 4.4.1.10 (the newest one i think) ....HELP!

Installed and placed banner in the footer. It shows up everywhere except showthread.php pages (and only in IE - works fine in Firefox)

What am I missing?
