Not with this mod as it stands, you may be able to do this with the add-ons Mosh has released. Check his profile.

DjEddie 07-08-2009 03:10 PM

ive checked his addons and none of them do this..

i've managed to call the chat up in an iframe and have it on the main page... only thing now is that i get the header and the forum menus inside this iframe..

is there a way to remove these headers and menus from the misc.php or have the link in a new template with out these?

thanks :)

Paul M 07-08-2009 08:58 PM

Look at how the existing flashchat template does it.

uprentiss 07-08-2009 09:31 PM

No, it's only for IM like purposes, no mic association unless you have some uber new version none of us have lol.

DjEddie 07-23-2009 10:07 PM

hey..

Some people are havin problems logging into the flash chat with their VB username and password...

Its either saying their details arent recognised .. or says they are already in the room ... when they haven't even been in it yet..

any ideas?

Thank you :)

Paul M 07-25-2009 04:10 PM

Nope, no idea, sounds like a flashchat issue to me.

rrmccabe 07-27-2009 08:16 PM

I started having usergroup duplications any time I made an edit in the usergroup after installing Flashchat5 and the integration.

We used to have flashchat 4 and worked OK.

Now with 5.0 installed anytime I make even the slightest change to a usergroup I get a duplicate usergroup with the new changes but the original group which contains the members remains unchanged.

If I disable the integration plugin I can edit my usergroups and it works fine.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Rich

Paul M 07-28-2009 09:26 AM

Nope, not a clue.

Ive never heard of that, and certainly cant repeat it - I would guess some other product you have is clashing/inteferring.

urstorm.com 07-28-2009 12:00 PM

any demo ?

Paul M 07-28-2009 05:03 PM

No.

nogerorob 08-04-2009 01:58 PM

Howdy. Just jumping in to say a quick thank you to Paul and the Flashchat developers. We've been using this combo for the Dave Matthews Band tour all summer and people love it. Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication!

what is the difference between this mod and the one at tufat? I know it costs 5 bucks, but is it better or different on tufat.com?

I just want the one that is best for vb

The difference is that the hack at tufat is FlashChat itself and this is a hack is to integrate FlashChat into vBulletin.

As Mosh says, you must get Flashchat itself from Tufat, this is mearly to improve the integration with vb. BTW, Flashchat is free, as long as you dont want the source code (which 99% of people dont).

Breakpoint 08-09-2009 02:40 PM

How well does this mod do on Server CPU (mod + FlashChat)

Any demos I can view? The current chat demo in original post is down.

Hostboard 08-10-2009 04:05 PM

I know this is a little off topic but I installed FlashChat and this mod and works perfect. However I can not for the life of me get a BOT to install. Tufat's support for bots is all but useless from reading all the posts there that have zero replies so hoping some here figured out how to do it?

Thanx :)

Amilo 08-28-2009 11:55 AM

Does anyone know if its possible to show the last x number of posts when a user logs in so they can read whats been going on.

I have the chat logs in the database to pull from.

Paul M 08-28-2009 12:27 PM

You need to ask questions about Flashchat on the Tufat forum.

Amilo 08-28-2009 01:04 PM

Thanks Paul.
I will head over and ask.

Amilo 08-28-2009 04:11 PM

Just made a post on your forum Paul but it looks like the forum has died.

You have posts asking for help that are weeks old and only had one view ?

Paul M 08-28-2009 05:01 PM

The Tufat (Flashchat) forums are not mine, I have nothing to do with them.

Dumpfbacke1999 08-28-2009 09:50 PM

Hey together :)

today @ afternoon i installed this Add-on. @ afternoon it works great. But now i become this message, when i log in admin panel:

Fatal error: Call to a member function next() on a non-object in /myhost/mydomain.com/websites/forum/chat/inc/cmses/statelessCMS.php on line 130

And when i want to login in chat, i become just the background of the flash chat. Why?

I hope, that somebody can helb me and read my bad english! :D ;)

Paul M 08-28-2009 10:13 PM

I would guess you edited the options. Its a known bug in FC5.

You need to update a file, and then reselect to integrate with 3.8

THX very much! That was it! :)

You saved my day! :)

edward hamilton 08-30-2009 07:47 PM

I recently upgraded from vB 3.68 to 3.83. I installed FC 5.0.1.0 in March of this year and its' still working with FC integration 3.57
I'd like to add the number of members in the chat next to the Chat link on the navbar.
Does this version of Integration do that?

Paul M 08-30-2009 10:25 PM

Nope, it doesnt.

Reef Man 09-08-2009 03:06 PM

Hi,
I installed this one and the admincp mods.

the admincp is working fine, but this one does not show the flashchat in a vbulletin page.

any idea about what I made wrong?

thanks.

Paul M 09-08-2009 08:14 PM

You have not provided any information that could help. A link to your site and description of the problem might help.

Reef Man 09-09-2009 12:04 AM

Sorry Paul,

This is my site: http://www.acuarios-marinos.com
And this is the chat page: http://www.acuarios-marinos.com/foru.../flashchat.php

I have 2 problems:
1.- The flash chat does not show correctly on the page as you will se
2.-The flashchat does not show integrated as a vbulletin page.

Any other info you may need, let me know.

I got the file but not sure what you mean by reselect to integrate. Do you mean re-install?

Thanx

Paul M 09-09-2009 10:25 AM

Re-select vbulletin 3.8 as the CMS/Integration choice, its should be one of the options.

Not sure what you mean for point 1.

For point 2, please read the modification notes ;

For Flashchat inside a vBulletin page you need to link to .../misc.php?do=flashchat

Reef Man 09-09-2009 04:26 PM

Thanks Paul,
Fixed.

About the point 1, if you go here:
http://www.acuarios-marinos.com/foru...p?do=flashchat

The flash chat show that the app is not correctly showed. The window to write is in the upperside over the other options.
I don?t know if this is something about my installation or about the flashchat itself.

Paul M 09-09-2009 05:28 PM

Since im a guest, all I get is the flashchat login screen. However, what you describe sounds like your fc config. I cant help with that.
