Still no support from Gio. Would appreciate if you can pm me back from your site as I have purchased the script. Thanks

theparentpack 02-03-2009 05:53 AM

Is the premium version supported? Just curious before I consider investing. Thanks!

theparentpack 02-04-2009 10:17 PM

One more question... Is it possible to set either version to only send out the forums that have been posted in?

nectons 02-19-2009 10:46 AM

So. It is completely unsupported. To bad. :(

soundbarrierpro 02-19-2009 12:19 PM

yes, all of his free mods are unsupported.

o_0 Sure you're in the admin usergroup? Heh. Feel free to shoot me over a pm and i'll take a look myself ;) Seems to be something clashing with it as no one else is having the problem so far and i can't reproduce it.

The issue I found on the Permission was my user that is an Administrator was not set as Administrator for the Primary Group

I was set to Registered group as primary then Admin as 2nd

I reveres this and it works

basilrath 03-10-2009 01:03 PM

Thats a nice version of a newsletter keeping it glossy and also informative ....... HERE

el7yaah 03-12-2009 10:47 AM

thank you

Bison 03-16-2009 04:17 AM

I don't think this young man should have offered this hack if he knew it wasn't going to work the way it should work. He's putting a lot of you at risk installing a hack that could potentially cause your e-mail server to be registered as a spam site.

I am not sure I agree, but I don't like the hack at all and have since removed it. :(

Personally I think it is bad form to put something out there offer no support but to purchase the full version. That is bait and switch in my mind (Its just my opinion)

michellehsu 03-16-2009 11:45 PM

Dear Sir.:
Does the premium version has the function to schedule it?
Set it to send the newsletter once a week for example?

tanha 03-21-2009 07:59 PM

bigcurt 03-24-2009 09:15 PM

Sworm 04-30-2009 07:56 PM

This newsletter allow the users to subscribe and unsubscribe to receive or not the newsletter?

I see that this function is present in the premium version....

Is possible with the premium version to allow the mods and the supermods to send the newsletter?

P.S.
The premium work with vb 3.82 too?

nectons 06-04-2009 01:05 PM

It is not working. Even his site. To shame.

Did that Done That

Seems this is getting more and more usual from the community. VBClassifieds is DOA, the author is a no show and abandoned his payed patrons.

Just a reminder of Buyer Beware or Better MOD User Beware

soundbarrierpro 06-04-2009 02:23 PM

This guy hasn't supported it from day one. It shouldn't even be allowed to exist. Not only does it get registered as spam, it crashes if you send to to more than 100 members.

He never responds to anything. This mod is useless and should be moved to trash.

Digital Jedi 06-07-2009 04:16 PM

You guys think to check with your hosts first before you sent out mass emails to all of your members? If I hadn't I wouldn't have known that I wasn't allowed more then 100 emails per hour.

manning 10-07-2009 06:01 PM

Whats the difference between lite and pro?

maxboost 10-15-2009 12:45 AM

can this be set by auto cron ?

I believe PRO allows members to opt-out of the newsletter. Lite doesn't.

This hack is good but there is one big problem.

When a user has deactivate the option to get a newsletter, he get it anyway.

Anyone else have this problem?

In Germany we have a Spamlaw. When you have a forum with a newsletter there must be an option to deactivate it but when this function does not work, everybody can asperse you.

Sorry dude, but you need to be respectful to the laws of the lands.

IMHO, you're being greedy by keeping the member opt-out to the premium version and not the lite version as well.

I think member opt-out should be a basic feature to ANY newsletter.

I've been looking for a newsletter mod. This looks promising to me, but I agree with many of the others here.

Disrespectful or smart business decision? Lite mods offers things you want, versus paid mods which offer things you "NEED".

There wouldn't be a paid mod if he gave you the full version for nothing.

Well i can send 500 per hour which would be enough but it will only send to a usergroup if it is set to primary usergroup....which stinks....is there a work around...might have to uninstall :(

I went to a dedicated server, and then installed cron-based mailqueue plugin. Now I can queue up 4000 newsletters, and it meters out quite nicely.

FreshPrince 11-21-2010 02:25 PM

Will this mod work on VB 4.x?

blackberry 11-24-2010 04:41 PM

how can i allow 2 usergroups to send this newsletter?

techweb 12-04-2010 07:07 AM

Considering purchasing prem here. However I would like to try out the lite version first.

When installing everything I get the following error in the "Community Newsletter Manager" and "send Newsletter" tabs:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ',' or ';' in /home/dau1111/public_html/outdoor-fishing.com/c_news_letter.php on line 304

Seems to be a problem if you have a custom skin. Any ideas? Prem has the following problem?

This is on vB 3.8.6

helalmail 12-18-2010 04:39 PM

from community news letter manager it gave me error:
"Warning: fetch_template() calls should be replaced by the vB_Template class. Template name: c_news_letter_latest_threadbit in [path]/includes/functions.php on line 4007"

oxblood12 01-27-2011 06:15 PM

vBsquad 06-16-2011 06:15 PM

Does this mod follow the email batch settings in admincp?

realmr 07-25-2011 06:54 PM

is this working on 3.8.x ?

JohorBahru 08-29-2011 04:48 AM
