Anybody tried or try this great mod:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...189267&page=63 Instead of this one. Maybe that could be our option for now. |

If you do not allow commercial product discussions within this forum, you should also not be allowing members to post commercial product details for so called "lite" versions. |
As this does not work, I am going to revert to an older version of the plug in that actually does.
|
Amazing mod, is it possible you can add Wegame to the list of supported movie sites. They only support Gaming movies/machinimas!
|
Does it work with ver. 3.8.2??
:s |
thanks for ur kind reply :)

I don't think it works with 3.8.2 |
Here's what I get when trying to submit or preview a post:
Warning: require_once([path]/includes/functions_passivevideo.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in [path]/newreply.php(291) : eval()'d code on line 1 Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/xxxxxxxxxx/public_html/xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com/forums/includes/functions_passivevideo.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/xxxxxxxxxx/public_html/xxxxxxxxxxxx.com/forums/newreply.php(291) : eval()'d code on line 1 |
Are there any known incompatible mods?
|
Works fine for me on v3.8.3 :)
|
Yeah, recently installed VBSEO and now Passive Video 2 doesn't work. Is there still no fix for this?
While the pro version has a great price point, it just does not work if you use VBSEO. I'm going to dig a bit more, but if I can't find a solution, I'm going to downgrade and seek a refund. =( |
Hi. I wondering where can I translate the field in the UCP Options because it doesn?t appear in lenguages and phrases nor in the xml files
http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/6494/passive.jpg Thx |
Sadly, I didn't read through this entire thread before purchasing this software on the coder's site on August 2.
Support is totally unavailable. I went to the coder's forum to see if I could find answers for the problem of double-posting videos and saw that several other people had requested support for the same problem without ever even getting the courtesy of a reply. On Aug 2, the same day I purchased it, I left a message on the coder's forum requesting my money back: http://scriptasy.com/passive-video_5...money_575.html It's a week later now and still not a word., nor a penny back. BUYER BEWARE. I'm going to complain to Vbulletin requesting that coders who sell their products not be allowed to hawk their products here. Shameful and totally unethical. |
Go for it. I too have suggested there should be a procedure to send unsupported mods to the Mod Graveyard. I was just told people need to read all the posts in a mod before they install it.
Of course, when a popular mod doesn't work, that fact gets buried under pages of help requests, and few people are willing to read all that. |

Full Version: Get the full version of Passive Video 2.00 here Its pretty sad that vbulletin.org is still leaving this up so we are still getting ripped off. I got ripped off by this guy a few months ago and still have not received my money back. I clicked the link from this forum. No where else. So why does VB.org staff continue to let this happen? |

I have just purchased Passive Video 2.0 & installed it correctly on vBulletin 3.8.3 Not Working for me ? minor problem probably, but - $5 excellent price - No Support whatsoever tho - Coder's forum, full of purchasers requesting advice/help/refunds. Hijacked threads advertising viagra; rediculous posts not related to the product = whats happened ? If a product is promoted in the way this is; customers should have their questions answered, but to "Take your Money and Run !!!" leaves customers extremely frustrated. $5- received from a large customer base, amounts to a substantial profit. I only post my concerns as i see them; so others have the choice of purchasing the product - with the knowledge - that i have experienced along with others. |
I have found the if there is NOT a www. in front of the URL, the video is NOT parsed. It ends up as a link.
Is there a workaround? I am using version 2.0 |
I've installed this mod, thanks. :)

This mod is not working properly. It hasn't worked properly since the day it was last updated. There is no support here or at their own website. Do not buy it. Do not install it. If, like me, you did both, then uninstall it and learn a lesson and move on. |
Great mod, using it since ver 1.1.2, and now the Lite and also the paid 2.0 but... no news about the widescreen Youtube videos?
Another question: how do you post a link to a video? (without embedding it, of course) Thanks! |
I have tracked down the only instance of youtube.com to this array:
Code:
$passivevideo_sites = array( So it appears that the video must be in the Code:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StNMmOd4d9E http://youtube.com/?v=StNMmOd4d9E I tried changing the code to: http://(?:[a-z]{2,3}.)?youtube.com/(watch)?\?v=([a-z0-9_-]{11})[/CODE] Now it seems that Code:
http://youtube.com/?v=StNMmOd4d9E So I wonder how I would add watch if it did not exist? is this possible in RegEx? |
Wondered if you could add support for vholdr?
|
Thank Mick... I know your site (from vaultwiki) I'm the one with the lamp site... I just installed AME on a clean board (because passive vid encountered this problem) and I get the ....
YouTube- Broadcast Yourself LINK and not the video... I have tried 30 videos, none of them are restricted for linking to and all settings are correct. I'd really like my passive vid or ame to work, any tips? |
very smart thanks a lot
|
Mick I found the solution for AME,,, but now I need to fix the sudden youtube code issue in Passive Video Premium. I note that you think the issues is here?
array ( // youtube 'd' => 'youtube.com', 'm' => 'http://(?:[a-z]{2,3}.)?youtube.com/watch\?v=([a-z0-9_-]{11})', 'e' => 0 ) I'll bet Ted may know over at Cracked Egg? ++++++++ Why wouldn't changing this to, lets say? array ( // youtube 'd' => 'youtube.com', 'm' => 'http://youtube.com/watch\?v=([a-z0-9_-]{11})', 'e' => 0 ) or array ( // youtube 'd' => 'youtube.com', 'm' => 'http://{param}youtube.com/watch\?v=([a-z0-9_-]{11})', 'e' => 0 ) No? What is this called anyway, a definition? AME appears to use http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=\1 |
Not yet from what I can see, but it's strange why it just stopped working for everyone... YouTube hasn't seem to have changed their links right? And do their videos embed properly without the plugin (Ex. using their Embed code on a static site)?
|

Yes |
Man... it's so frustrating when you pay for a plugin and get absolutely no support when it breaks.

I still don't understand why it just suddenly stopped working with YouTube in the first place...
|
thanks!
|
Thanks for what? Did you get it fixed?
|
Fix what? Installed today working fine....
|
YouTube videos stopped working for it about a week ago.
|
Well I just installed it today on 3.8.4 and it is working fine, see for self:
http://www.skydive-info.com/skydivin...read.php?p=634 Is it supposed to stop working? Edit: What version VB are you using? |
3.8.4... Hmm... I wonder if it's vBSEO causing it somehow...
