i took the sql of these 3 files, by going to export in my phpmyadmin, and select all 3 files need then i uploaded the new file and imported the new xml

now do i overwrite the sql ? or delete the 3 tables then import the sql that i just took ?
cause i don't see my old awards being restored

Hello, The system is working perfectly fine however.. My style is allready modded with a feedback system and a bunch of other things in the " user information " section of the postbit.

Im wondering, Is there a way to move the award show-case to say.. right underneth the signature? or.. to the left or right of the current user information?

1) Backup Your YAAS Tables using PHPMyAdmin or any other administration program that you perfer.
-> award
-> award_cat
-> award_user

2) Uninstall YAAS and remove any manual template edits

3) Delete YAAS Files from your site

4) Upload the "upload" directory in this folder to your site

5) Install the product "product-yet_another_awards_system_4.xml"

6) Restore your YAAS Tables, you will need to overwrite the current tables.

DO NOT FORGET TO DO THE PARTS IN RED

What your asking is already being worked on, there was another who would have liked it shown under the sig as well, we will be doing an option in the settings to show in either the postbit or under sig.

Do you have any news on when the new version will be avail so i can do this?

I do not have a time frame, only that we are working on this and other fixes.

I do not like time frames, things come up and if you mention that it will be released say next week and something happens and it is not released then people will have a fit, even though it would not be our fault for the delay...some people do not see it that way.

After downloading I notice there is only one award. I have found other awards, so can someone tell me if there is any other way to add them to the ACP other than doing it one award at a time? Thanks in advance.

I only asked if there was any news on when it would be avail, I appreciate your work and i love this modification. My user's are really happy about it, My forum is for local members who play airsoft and i use the award system kinda like the xbox achivement system where user's do something on the field and get that award on the forums.

There is no current way to mass add awards, since you have enter in a url for each image and a description we will not do any type of mass add.

You did not upset me, I have just had very long weeks the past month, working 15 hour days 1 week, 8 hour days the next and it keeps alternating till this contract I am on ends...which wont be till mid November-December

If you are still running the original version of this mod that fix will show the awards in the users profile below everything else.

I am using 4.0 but will have to uninstall and reinstall 2.1.4. I was hoping to use 4.0 instead of the older version.

Wouldn't there be a way to use the same format it uses for postbit to use in the profile? I would think it would somewhat simple to make the profile part of it work.

The manual template edits and what files were installed by the old version ..

Just read the directions from the last one and uninstall everything that way.

I know that - was just trying to say for the other people that might not have the skills or there web guy left them with some mods they didn't install ...

I thought I could show it in my actual memberlist, but what your talking about there is the award list. It confused me, and it might confuse others :)

Anyways, my question is, I have the roster hack (here) and would like to show each members awards, any hints on how to do this? (I'm not a professional coder)

Thanks for pointing this out, we have overlooked that aspect since it no longer shows in the memberlist. this will be resolved in the next release.

This is in the works as I have another site that is also wanting this done, it is not at the top of our list but it is surely on the list.

Installed today, had a few problems with templates and my chosen style but that was easily fixed. Now working great :)

When i click on Award Showcase i expect to go to the complete list of available ward but it goes to the user profile (and not in the award page of it).
If i click in Total Awards i expect to go in the profile directly in the USER AWARDS tab but it goes in the standard starting tab of user profiles.

I really wish in an update to this mod, we could get a "score" for each award given, so users could have a compiled score for having the most achievements, kinda like gamerscore for Xbox Live. :)

This has already been address and will be fixed in the next release, when you click on the showcase in a users postbit it will take you to there awards tab in there profile.

There are no plans for a "scoring" system to be implemented.

You mean the awards assigned to the user ? is this a duplicate of the below link "Total award" ?

I think that showcase should to the complete list of available award (the award.php page) while to show the tab of total ward of the user you should click on the total awar link below the award box in the postbit.

A showcase is a "showcase" of the USERS awards, a total awards would be the total awards that there are. so the showcase going to the users profile is correct...we just need to fix it so it goes to the correct profile tab.

When your school or business has a showcase of awards it shows only the awards they have received...not ALL the awards that one can possibly receive.

Ok maybe i was hijacked on the wrong way by what i see in the postbit, after the awards icon :

where n is the number of awards that user received, if i don't missed in counting :P

Anyway is only a matter of template when this will be fixed, everyone of us will change the link as he wish :)

i used previous version for a long time before, and just awaiting an update for 3.7.X


installed on vb 3.7.2 and is all ok, only a little thing to fix in profile section:
- when you set "no icon" or "no image" or "no name" in profile awards list, the linked column shift... and leave all black on the right, see image below

- and i would like an option to center awards in postbit (now is left-aligned)

and... i want make a BIG request : i need a sistem to assign Awards Categories on a section bases.
i.e. i want that an awards categorie is visible ONLY in a specific section (and his childrens), if a user has a award that is visible only in section A, and he wrote a post in a section B (that not is a children of section A), that award will be not visible in his postbit.
If the same user post inside section A (or inside a children section of A)... that award show up.
(sorry for my english, i hope that the example is clear)

I really hope that in one of the future additions, the option for giving each award a numerical value is available, so there can be somewhat of a total "score" based on the awards, difficulty, etc. (similar to Xbox Live gamerscores)

I'm just looking into this mod and it looks very promising. I will sure give it a try.

I was wondering. I saw you have multiple categories.
That is very nice, it gives the opportunity to add more competitions where people deserved awards.
But I also got the idea of turning one category into a rank category.
But... that would need a few things different:
- for a category of the type "rank" only the highest (display order 1) award (rank actually) should be displayed on user profile etc.
- in the stats who has the award only people for whom this is the highest award/rank should be shown here.

This way you have a system that follows who got promoted to which rank on what date.
Do you see possabilities to add such a feature?

Issue is from MySQLi can this script be updated to support MySQLi properly as vbulletin does.

Also note that the award panel in the postbit is no cached.
