Bananalive, thanks for taking the trouble with that, the {share}, does that mean share with those who can use canned replies or everyone? probably a stupid question! :)

Bananalive, that change allows for certain Canned Replies to be shared but the {share} appears with the reply. I tried using {share} in the title of the CR but that didn't share it, so i used {share} in the body, that shared it but as i said its visible when posted. How can i make it invisible?

This request might be complicated but it might be a good one :)

With the shared code above, that is great, however I think it could be improved if you could define certain things. eg. Which usergroups can set up shared code. eg. Create shared code and then set it to show for specific usergroups/users instead of to all who can use canned replies. those 2 features would be great.



And another feature request: add canned replies to quick reply in PM (new feature added since vb 3.8.x)

You might be able to use something like this to define who you can share it to:

{share:1;5;6}

Where 1, 5, & 6 are the usergroups who can see that shared message.

To define who can use the share code, you could add an option in the Usergroup Settings (bitfield_canreplies2008.xml).

Just some ideas....

Is the single/double quote bug fixed yet?

(Eg. When putting single or double quotes anywhere in the canned reply, once the reply is posted, there are /'s in front of the quotes)

Any use of an apostrophe should look like this : Can't

But it makes the post like this if you use the apostrophe : Can/'t

Can this been fixed or not?

Works on version 3.8.1 PL1 as well

The version I'm using doesn't appear to have the error, so I've complied it as v2.5.6

If anyone finds any errors, post them here and I'll try and fix them

Thanks bananalive that version fix the apostrophe issue I saw.

Tagged for now. I'll install this as soon as you fix one thing:

- When a user has 0 canned replies, the Canned Reply bar shouldn't appear! Not everyone wants to use them, but they still see that tiny option bar without any actual replies.

I would like to add the Canned Replies Drop Down option to show when a Mod clicks on the "Edit" button or "Advanced Edit" buttons within a Post or Thread.

How would I go about adding this? Thank you, Love this mod, very helpful.

It will be rather complicated.

You'll need to edit template EDITPOST and add the variable $crdd where you want the dropdown box, then edit Plugin: Canned Replies Javascript AutoInsert

Did you create those canned replied, you'll only see the edit/ delete links on canned replies you've created.

If you click view source, search for ''cannedreplies.php?do=edit'' and see if it's there.

banana, after unistalling this product I think I have lost my "Delete" phrases from my forums. I don't see that "Delete" word when I try to delete PMs or in quick edit. I took a quick look at the product file you gave me, there is:

No, That adds a phrase if it doesn't exist. You could try adding the phrase manually.

But does it remove that phrse upon unistalling? Everything worked fine until I uninstalled this product.

The default vBulletin phrase "Delete" is gone. Can someone try unistalling this product and report if they also get this??

Ok I have confirmed this now. I added the phrase manually now and it works again. :)

Maybe you should remove that delete phrase from the *.xml, as it seems to remove that (default vBuuletin) phrase when you unistall this product. ;)

Did it. There is NO ''cannedreplies.php?do=edit'' or ''cannedreplies.php?do=delete'' in the source code.
