how to hide child forums in 1 parent forum?

All the information on the changes is contained under the 3.8.x modification. It still works for 3.7.x, just seems a bit silly for me to maintain the old ones as people move forward.

Main new change is the expand/collapse functionality can be remembered through a cookie so that if a user collapses a display and goes to a new page, when they come back, it will still be collapsed.

I just noticed this mods breaks XHTML validation because it puts a table (block element) inside a span (inline element). The span is the show or hide span by the way.

Isn't it possible to use a div instead of a span?

Edit: did a quick test by editing the forumbit_display plugin and replaced the span by a div. Mod still works fine (for me anyway) and now validates.

You are absolutely correct - I fixed that in version 1.6.2 which is available for 3.8.x (as noted in this thread ;) )

No "Need", but there are lots of improvements. See the thread for 3.8.x and the "more details" posts for the low down.

Not hard to migrate...

No need to uninstall the existing one
Install the new one (will appear as Sorky03)
Set the options to match the existing one (you can check the existing one)
Disable the existing one (will appear as Sorky02)
Enable the new one
Remove the old one when you are ready

The latest version for 3.8.x also works for 3.7.x and 3.6.x
