For upgrade, just to overwrite product?

Another question...I have vBulletin v3.7.4 PL1, could I install this MOD version for vB v3.8, or I must first upgrade vBulletin to v3.8 and then uninstall this MOD version before install this MOD for vB 3.8?

Phalynx 01-07-2009 02:32 PM

You can install this on 3.6, 3.7 and 3.8 without complications.

Sunka 01-07-2009 02:43 PM

So this version (this topic) and version for vB 3.8.0 https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=200952 is same?

What will be if I try to overwrite same version with same vesion?
Sorry, but I have vBulletin just for a month, and this vBulletin upgrade will be my first upgrade, and I am so confused with MODs versions (still do not know what and which one to upgrade when upgrade my vBulletin)

Phalynx 01-07-2009 02:59 PM

Yes, they are the same except for the productid.

By importing a mod that already exists you will be asked if existing one should be overwritten.

BUMP! :p

Phalynx 01-09-2009 09:58 AM

Good idea, will list that on my todo.

Nadeemjp 01-09-2009 02:56 PM

is it 3.8 compatible?

Phalynx 01-09-2009 03:42 PM

Nadeemjp, why do you ask in 3 different threads of 3.7 hacks where you could take a look at the 3.8 hacks and find it there? Yes, it is compatible, just check the 3.8 mod section.

wtb 02-24-2009 10:18 PM

Well, not sure what the problem is but I entered: 02 / 15 / 2009 into the boxes and the date returned as 03/02/10

What the ????

RESOLVED: I was entering the typical M/D/Y format into the boxes but realize now that the extension's boxes are in D/M/Y format. I just have to remember to do the date a little differently. I did have to go in and fix the "futuristic" listings via PhpMyAdmin but the issue is resolved and it's working as intended.

Phalynx 02-25-2009 07:15 AM

Great you "solved" it for yourself.

robf23 02-25-2009 10:06 AM

Works a treat. Thanks!

Allows me to change the date of calendar threads and move them into the news section so they appear after the event as a news item and aren't buried under threads more recently created.

Now, if I could find some bright spark who could create the code to do it automatically, that would be superb, but this is a good short term solution.

wfouly 03-16-2009 05:21 PM

Thank you, Bravoooo

Daisyboo 03-25-2009 09:04 AM

I've been using this with no problems, however I've just gone to use it today and I've got a whole load of code on the inlinemod.php page (or else it says it cannot display)

At the very beginning it says -

Fatal error: Existing data passed is not an array
Called set_existing in [path]/inlinemod.php(382) : eval()'d code on line 176
Called eval in [path]/inlinemod.php on line 382

Help please, this mod is so useful!! :)

Phalynx 03-25-2009 11:36 AM

It seems the script has a problem with a user. Did you tried after that to assign other user?

Daisyboo 03-25-2009 12:30 PM

Oh this is weird! It happened when I used me as the new post owner so I've just tried to change it to my other admin and it worked fine, so I've just tried changing it to me again and it went through fine!
How strange, I've not changed anything, but at least I have it working again!
Thanks!

Phalynx 03-25-2009 12:40 PM

Hmm, seems something bad happened by delivering variables to the final script. Hopefully this was singular.

Allnick 04-07-2009 08:19 PM

A question please....
Has anyone tried this with 3.6.5
I appreciate the template edits are needed, and see that it works with 3.6.8

But 3.6.5 ????

Phalynx 04-08-2009 06:47 AM

Please check if you have template hooks called:
inlinemod_thread_bottom
inlinemod_post_bottom

If yes, this mod should work. Otherwise you will have to edit the templates.

Allnick 04-09-2009 11:13 PM

Sorry if this is a silly question....but where do I look for templates hooks?

2nd question..
How do I......1. Disable automatic template edit in the Change threads/posts owner settings... should I need to edit templates.

I could make good use of this mod with the ability to change date and time of the post/thread.
The previous version doesn't allow change of date/time...right?

Search in templates for inlinemod_thread_bottom and inlinemod_post_bottom

You would need to remove all plugins with name ends on (attach link)

Right.

soundbarrierpro 05-14-2009 12:13 PM

Great mod, came in very handy. Thank you for this.

agsguar 06-15-2009 09:59 PM

Thank you, work fine in 3.6.11!!

Regards!

Forum Lover 01-13-2010 11:55 AM

How bout to port it for vb4 ! :)

KrisP 01-29-2010 08:35 AM

Nice mod but there is a bug: If time of post is changed, and then edited by a user from a usergroup with "Show edited by note on edited messages?" set to no, then edited message is shown despite it is set to no.

GateKeper 02-13-2010 02:54 AM

never mind, I figured it out, I was using the wrong version

Phalynx 02-15-2010 02:47 PM

Hi,

developing modification is consuming much time. Time that I don't have anymore. This modification will not be developed further by me. This includes support.

If anybody wants to take over this modifications, please PM me.

best wishes,
Marius aka Phalynx

Thanks for the link but I have vB 3.8.6 :erm:

Phalynx 12-06-2010 02:34 PM

Why are you then responding to a vB4 request? :)

A version for vB3.8 is here:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=200952

MissKalunji 03-23-2011 03:12 AM

installed works perfectly. Thank you!

kpmedia 12-05-2011 02:08 PM

This is a great mod. The only thing missing is the ability to subscribe the new owner to their new thread.

For example,
- create a thread >
- change owner >
- subscribe new owner to the new thread >
- and then when it gets replies, the new owner will be made aware of it.

Right now you'll have to email or PM the new owner, otherwise he/she will never know it exists. :(

I'd code it myself, if I knew how.

biftek 01-10-2012 06:28 AM

is there a way so that supermoderators can change post author?

Phalynx 01-14-2012 10:38 AM

The permission to change author is bound to the ability to moderate a thread, so supermoderators should be able to use it over the whole forum - beside the usergroup defined in settings.

Ziller 01-01-2013 07:42 PM
