I've put in requests but no love.. I now keep the hack turned off unless I want to monitor things because I go through 10k page views very fast as well.

Jonaid 07-15-2008 09:35 PM

What I've just done is to turn off the plug and then insert it manually into the homepage near the Who's Online box. With it only being displayed on the homepage, I can at least get a track of higher visitor numbers and member infomation by losing the capability to view what exact page they're on.

Mrdby 07-16-2008 09:15 PM

works wonders

Only problem (and is not one of the product) is you only get 10,000 page views a day while in beta. I was sitting feeling like I was in a Nasa control room and then after an hour it died :(

Can't wait for it to come out of beta as it's not as fun for big boards at the mo.

lol too funny. I had a very similar though. I was thinking more like a war room...but same basic idea.

i'm looking forward to the live version of this once the beta period has ended (to take advantage of seeing data on more than 10k view), too.

AdrianH 07-25-2008 05:41 PM

Waited 3 weeks with no reply .......... won't be bothering again.

BatMs.com 07-25-2008 09:27 PM

Lol i just read most of this thread....

People really don't like being patient do they?

I have my site with Woopra and I had to wait a few weeks to get it. Just install, sign up and FORGET ABOUT IT... you will then randomly eceive an email from woopra letting you know your site has been added!

Just be patient :cool:

neopets 07-25-2008 10:21 PM

took 3 days to confirm. not bad

TimberFloorAu 07-25-2008 11:43 PM

Just signed up. WIll post back

helpmehost 07-26-2008 03:33 AM

This is really funny,. what is so big deal that one should wait for such a long time ? perhaps that is the way to make people curious as if it is some thing so special . I hate it

helpmehost 07-26-2008 04:03 AM

Ok I had to uninstall this mod. it makes my site so slow.
:mad:

RichieBoy67 07-27-2008 03:55 AM

If your site is slow you have to set up the local option...

thecricketzone 07-27-2008 09:22 AM

Hi - thanks for this; Woopra account approved within 24 hrs. Installed :)

g0dfather1984 07-28-2008 05:03 AM

I have tried installing this but it doesn't let me. Keeps telling me there is a file missing. Sadly, I do not have the patience for this.

epic2009 07-28-2008 11:59 AM

i'm just getting a "Please upload the XML file that came with the Woopra Stats before installing or upgrading!" error messages every time I try and upload the product-woopra_stats.xml product!

I dont know why?

nick-harper 07-29-2008 10:50 AM

Just installed and it looks great so far :)

Ug4t0R 07-31-2008 10:00 AM

Perfect modification !
Thanks

Shane 08-06-2008 08:33 PM

Just a quick update to all.

Been working with the Woopra team. We are getting ready to release a major update that include showing off the stats in your admincp area directly. The question I have to ask if you want an option to show the stats publicly.

FlyBoy73 08-06-2008 08:43 PM

Having that option would be great. Those that don't want to use/offer it wouldn't have to.

Thanks for your work, Shane..

powerful_rogue 09-08-2008 02:47 PM

Sounds like a good idea to me. This really is a top notch product.

Lynne 09-08-2008 03:12 PM

This is a nice plugin. I just wish they would allow more than 10000 hits a day!

nyunyu 09-12-2008 12:27 PM

Just need to know does this mod support 3.6.x?
I am still using 3.6.9 for my forum and only planned to upgrade when it grow up.:P

Although I registered with woopra on day this thread was made. I have the account just wondering if this can be used for vb 3.6

Thanks.
[update]

I confirmed that this plugin CAN be used on vb3.6.9

any link from where to dl vbulletin_woopra.js ? only find this

radmoose 10-10-2008 05:54 AM

In this section of the PHP code,

PHP Code:

            $woopra_homeurl $vbulletin->options['homeurl'];
            if (
has_avatar($vbulletin->userinfo['userid']))
            {

$woopra_avatar_url $woopra_homeurl "/image.php?u=" $vbulletin->userinfo['userid'];
            }

the output for $woopra_avatar_url is http://www.domain.com//image.php?u=#

It should be http://www.domain.com/forumdir/image.php?u=#

It is referencing HomeURL as opposed to ForumURL (not sure about the variable name)

HomeURL = http://www.domain.com
ForumURL = http://www.domain.com/forum

redlabour 10-23-2008 04:23 AM

Any Update? Seems the Code is not longer working correctly. Conversations not working and some of the Statistics.

segwayon 10-23-2008 05:42 AM

The developer last posted in August and logged in in September. For those who have installed this mod, does it allow users the option of seeing stats on the forum, as Shane alluded to in his last posting?

radmoose 10-24-2008 09:04 PM

I would like to see the code use Gravatar as an option for blank avatars.

Then again, I will probably just modify the site to use Gravatars by default.

http://www.woopra.com/blog/2008/10/2...-october-2008/

a update from woopra

Quote:

* The Woopra tracking javascript has now been reduced to a single standard line of code.
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://static.woopra.com/js/woopra.js"></script>
* Users will no longer be required to keep track of or enter Website IDs into plugins such as WordPress, Joomla, vBulletin or other CMS platforms. Indeed, the old Website ID and Code links are gone from the Member’s area and are no longer required in the javascript.

BamaStangGuy 10-27-2008 01:59 PM

How will that impact this plugin?

nick-harper 11-14-2008 07:41 AM

I just pasted the Java code in the footer and this seems to work?

Mrdby 11-16-2008 01:51 PM

uninstalled

Chance4Today 11-17-2008 03:01 AM

So I can find er again :):D

segwayon 11-22-2008 04:27 PM

The beta approval came in today, and I reinstalled the plugin. Apparently there's no ID number given out in the beta anymore, as the manual install requires a simple paste of a script into the footer template. So I am not sure if there's any need to install this product or not.

The data does come in, but the names of the members do not get passed through; I've been tagging the members manually by referring to their IP addresses.

Any pointers appreciated.

kpierce 11-22-2008 05:45 PM

Same question here. How do you get Woopra to display usernames? Everything else works great.

kpierce 11-23-2008 06:18 PM

Also, Woopra always shows a few less members online than vbulletin shows.

I notice that many guests do not show up.

As a test I disabled the plugin and Woopra still receives data from the server, so I suspect that the manually-added script code inside the footer template suffices for that. Can anyone confirm that this vB plugin is defunct?

Also, in case this plugin is still needed, is the "WebID" the same as the "API Key" which Woopra provides? I tried to place their "API key" into the plugin's "WebID" but it didn't seem to help (or hurt).

I don't even let guest view the site. I'm talking about my registered users. vbulletin will show 12 registered users online and Woopra will show 8-9. Do you get usernames displayed in Woopra? Mine just shows "visitor".

kpierce 11-23-2008 06:46 PM

Right now, Woopra says 2 online and vbulletin says 12 registered users online.
