I am so glad that you figured that out *blush*... I'm just getting set up to get some work done and have been trying to figure out your issue with no luck... Was coming to post a couple of "possibilities" but apparently they wouldn't have worked anyways. Thanks for letting us know (in case anyone else has same issue)... Have an awesome night.

If I am not mistaken, check your CSS.

Bree 05-09-2008 11:00 PM

Just for the record.. on the page where you have the SmnLikQuick Announcements showing... you can right click and opt to view the page source (source code... worded differently depending on which browser you are using)... Look for the coding (that was added during the first edit.... Which is as follows:

Code:

<!-- SmnLikQuick -->
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/clientscript/smnlikquick_css.css" />
<script type="text/javascript" src="/clientscript/smnlikquick_ajax.js">
/***********************************************
* Ajax Tabs Content script- ? Dynamic Drive DHTML code library (www.dynamicdrive.com)
* This notice MUST stay intact for legal use
* Visit Dynamic Drive at http://www.dynamicdrive.com/ for full source code
***********************************************/
</script>
<!-- / SmnLikQuick -->

If it is not present then you will need to add that coding to the correct template. If it IS there but is still showing the links... try taking out the / (forward slash) in the address..

IE Change:
/clientscript/smnlikquick_css.css and /clientscript/smnlikquick_ajax.js
To:
clientscript/smnlikquick_css.css and clientscript/smnlikquick_ajax.js

If that doesn't work, let us know.

Always, Bree

MagnetiCat 05-10-2008 06:18 PM

Bree, please check your PM, important.

rapidphim 05-11-2008 03:38 AM

Bree... sorry for off topic question. Can you please let me know where did you get the Top 5 hack for 3.7.0? thanks.

Bree 05-11-2008 02:46 PM

No Problem =0) It's the Cyb - Advanced Forum Statistics by Cybernetec...
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=177778

It's quick, easy, and painless to install... and my members seem to love it =0)

Always, Bree

Bree 05-11-2008 03:13 PM

Sorry, for the "boring" update but it was for security purposes. So it is very important that you re-upload all files (excluding the smnlikquick_css.css) to your server allowing overwrite. Then just re-import the product (xml)... You will not lose any announcements etc. Thank you MagnetiCat for the heads-up! Much appreciated!!

And Joeycano, I didn't forget about you =0) Will attach you a special admin file for you here.

Thanks all and I am sorry for the inconvenience!
Always, Bree

EDIT: Download the full SmnLikQuick v2.0.4.zip from the first post to upgrade.

rapidphim 05-11-2008 03:51 PM

Bree, your zip file only contained 1 file. Am I correct?

Did you download the zip file from my last post? If so, yes that was just one file... But don't use that, re-download the full package from the first post... (SmnLikQuick v2.0.4) I should have clarified that, sorry.. Joey requires a special admin file for his setup and that's what was in the last post.

Yeah, once you get it initially installed, which I don't think should take very long anyways.. updating really is quick an easy... Hopefully I can keep it this way =0)

Hi myown, unfortunately with the way this mod works, it doesn't automatically match up. You will manually need to edit the forums/clientscript/smnlikquick_css.css file. Just remember that later when you upgrade, do not overwrite that file when upgrading (or else you'll have to re-edit it)... If you have multiple styles, I left some notes in post 99
for a way to work around that. And I didn't understand what you meant with second question *blush*, I am sorry. What do you mean RTL?

I think we're to the point I can take the "beta testing" off of this (I initially just wanted that on there until 3.7 went Gold).. But I'm looking to add a few new features in the near future. Once that's released, everyone has it installed and gives me the OK, thinking that would be the best time to take the "beta testing" sign down... I'll hopefully be working on this soon (not sure when, have two more projects on the table not to mention trying to keep up with my own non-coding related site hehe).. so if anyone has any ideas for features not named in the first post.. please do not hesitate to let me know your thoughts =0)

RTL means Right To Left languages, like Urdu and Arabic/Persian.

اردو دائیں+سے بائیں لکھی جاتی ہے

To see live demo for RTL check my forums Pak.net

SuperDave71 05-13-2008 07:36 PM

Hey there,

I have a quick question. For some reason, when the "loading" happens, the announcement box is made smaller. This in turn forces everthing below it to 'jump' upward until the next announcement is displayed then it jumps back down to the original position.

Do anyone have any suggestions in make the loading box the same as the "announcement" box so it doesn't like like it does?

This is a great mod by the way. I will most certainly use it . I just hope maybe someone could possibly help me out.

Thank you way in advance.

Hi:

I just installed this hack but I just get a bulleted link. Where's the AJAX stuff? lol. I installed BOTH the CMPS and the 2.04 zip files. I am getting the error message in IE: ddajaxtabs is undefined. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

King Kovifor 05-21-2008 12:45 AM

Make sure the CSS file is uploaded to the correct path.

Bree 05-23-2008 05:41 AM

I don't have long so will make this quick... My laptop crashed (on husband's right now)... so will be unable to update this mod or offer support for it until I get up and running again (good news is that it was still under warranty and HP is going to replace the necessary parts hehe)... I apologize for this delay... Trust me, this hurts me a lot more than it hurts you (*sniff* I SOOO miss my baby (aka laptop))... Hope everyone is well!

Thats because its not finding the .css file. Edit the path in RED below and try the full URL to the .css (or remove the / before clientscript) one of those should do the trick ;)

Code:

<!-- SmnLikQuick -->
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/clientscript/smnlikquick_css.css" />
<script type="text/javascript" src="/clientscript/smnlikquick_ajax.js">

Hugo Holbling 06-05-2008 11:24 AM

Is it possible to place php code inside one of the tabs? For example, it would be nice to be able to have tabs that show a list of new posts or new threads, called in the same way that several mods do.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm new to coding.

Eneswar 06-05-2008 11:49 AM

I really wanna use this addon but i cant aslong i get this error...

I released a MOD Called AJAX TABS for CMPS.. part of that Mod has a Content File for Recent Threads and CAN be integrated into this with some minor tweaking.

Its not recognizing that FONT for what ever reason. Maybe someone that deals with other languages can help you troubleshoot.

One issue I'm having with this is that the container collapses in size when loading the new tab. This has the effect of making the forum homepage jump; i.e. as the container reloads the forums move up, and as the new tab is shown the forums move back down again. Is there any way to stop this or fix the size of the container so that it remains constant, whether reloading or not and regardless of how much content is contained in each tab?
