I guess I'm confused. Everyone can see it or everyone can't see it? It uses permissions on who can view what forums in the listing.
|
Well, I just tried to view your site map and saw no link for it. Is the album reviews a regular forum?
|
My problem wasn't the mod but Depth of Sub-Forums was set to 1 where it should had been set to 2
|
thanks
|
Boofo, do you plan on expanding on this mod and adding the other items that are available through vb.org's Help menu?
Meet the staff General Site Rules Terms of Service Privacy Policy I've created a menu on my navbar dedicated to that already, but it looks bare right now. Would love to have the above. |
Well, those you listed would be hard to do on a general scale as not everyone would use a standard link for those.
|
when I click on the ones here I see the following:
info.php?do=staff info.php?do=rules info.php?do=terms info.php?do=privacy I don't have any of these currently on my website. Would be nice to see a mod offer them. |
And you won't see that offered here as that is their coding file for the site here.
|
I'd assume if you wanted the other pages like on vBulletin.org, you'd try and replicate them as a template made vBulletin page.
|
Dont work...
http://www.tartaportal.it/forums/info.php?do=sitemap My "Allevamento Tartarughe Terrestri" is Code:
ALLEVAMENTO <font size="1"> Tartarughe Terrestri </font> |
No, it does work. There just seems to be a problem in your setup. Have you edited the file or template by chance?
|
Hi, I installed this but it's not working entirely correct for me :(
I didn't put the link to the site map on my site yet until I can get it fixed but here's a link to it: http://jadedsouls.net/forum/info.php?do=sitemap Do you know how I can fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated! |
You've edited the info.php file or the template, haven't you?
|
Followed your install instructions and it works beautifully, this is a great hack , thanks a lot.:up::up:

Looks like you have no php info there, are you sure that php file is in the correct place?

Yes I had the RSS syndication turned on in the first place and I had put the php file where the mod said to put it.
|
I'm sure whatever it is, it is something simple. If you want me to take a look at it, PM me some account details so I can go in and look a the product and template in the admin cp.
|
Thanks for the mod. I have one question - I tried to add it to Google and I get an error. So...a general query is, does submitting a sitemap to Google (webmasters tool) helpful? If it is, is there a way to get Google to accept it without errors? I get the "unsupported file format" error. Thanks!
|
i think you got the wrong mod....
|
wow wow and just wow for a long time i was in search for this thanks
Indianprofits.com clicks install |

Ooohh, gotcha, thanks! Does it help that much to submit a sitemap to Google? Just wondering...
|
This just uses the external.php file for the rss. I'm not sure how Google does it.

I think I went and fixed it.. I did end up taking out the color codes for the forums but just changed the link color for the category header in the Main CSS so that at least stayed pink.
Now it's all working and I got it linked in the footer. Going to add it to the portal navigation right now! ... I got bored at work *shh* |
Send me a link via PM when you get it all working. ;)
|
You can just use the account info I gave you via PM sunday night.. :)

I can think of a couple of great additions like including the other type of site maps that are obvious down the right side (perhaps) as well as other possibilties to! Hope that makes sense? |
What other type of site maps? You lost me, sorry. ;)
|
The ones that could also be considered in the first instance imho would be
A link for the search engine one like the (is it) xml one for Google etc and also one that would incorporate pages from VB advanced and other possible usage of index page (CMS systems) as well as vb advanced's other pages or pages generated from well lets say Dreamweaver or even simple notepad pages eg anything & everything that should be getting seen and listed being done so. Hope that is clear? SEO is my thing and am not completely au fait if I am making sense or speaking the right language for the likes of you experienced coders |
Will it work with 3.6.10?

She only has those errors on her portal page. The forums page shows right. It is because the link lacks the forums directory in it. She has been notified by PM about it. ;)
|
strange i had the previous version and overwritten files but not working ?
any ideas Boofo |
It looks fine to me. What is not working?
If you had a previous version, why haven't you clicked the install button? |

Someone else mentioned extending this to include other pages. (Which was part of what I had also mentioned previously) I would like to know if that will be happening to as if you look at my site and the site map here > Site Map install you will see the site map does not include pages that are essentially external to the VBulletin software lke for example my index page which is using VBAdvanced. I would like to see pages external to the forum being displayed to - maybe on the right side of page so it is clear that links down the left are internal to the forum and the ones on the right are external to the forum if you get my drift |
