How about show attachments and pictures externally, what;s the plan on adding that

zerokarma 01-15-2008 05:49 PM

I would like to use this thread but it completely CRASHES my server after about a minute of it being on.

SimvD 01-22-2008 09:05 PM

I love this BUT....I want only the name of the thread and the last poster to show, how do I eliminate the date/time and thread author?

Also..the date and time are reversed. The date shows the time and the time shows the date.

The scrolling is also very slow, and I would prefer if this could be set to always be centered and just flash the different posts at a reasonable speed...not too fast so members can click, maybe 5 seconds each. I've seen it function this way on v 2.2, which is why I installed this. I would also like to increase the number of posts displayed this way.

It was very easy install on v 2.3, works like a charm, except for these issues!

And just exactly how do I access where you say you:

"Added a function to let you choose one of many pre-defined styles for the titles to show, or you can even use your own personnalized CSS style"

per your post..thanks!

Hi,
I have a small issue. I have 2 forums, 1 Arabic and 1 English. On the Arabic forums, the last threads show with the poster's name and date:
http://farazdk.com/easypics/images/arx1205219297p.jpg

Which is great and the way I like it. But on the English forum it shows up like this:
http://farazdk.com/easypics/images/bwy1205219351e.jpg

I have to put the mouse on each post to see who and when.. Why isn't it like the Arabic forum? I have tried everything but it won't show like the Arabic forums. Can you help please? Thanks.

3. In the Portal Output Global Variables, add the 2 lines at the end of this box:
Code:

lxt_bit

4. Save.
5. Finished

after this , it should appear ? it didn't .
Shall I add a module ?
The "Portal Output Global Variables" was not in the page , but in the Default settings .

Great addon. One issue: When displaying the date/time of last post in the marquee using Java effects, the date and time fields are mislabled... date shows time and time shows date.

THis may have been addressed already but the thread is so long I didnt sift through them.

Any idea how to properly label?

Thanks

asasi 04-23-2008 05:52 AM

Hi
I saw on a forum home page that two copies of this hack was working.
There was two columns . one of them show latest posts on some forums (for example download forums) and another one shows all other new posts (on all other forums)
I used another latest threads on forumhome for one of them but I think this affect on performance. is a better way with this hack?

thanks

asasi 04-23-2008 06:04 AM

Another question
how can I change "Last 10 Posts" subject in forumhome? is this in phrases or templates?

Mr.samy 05-04-2008 03:42 AM

good job man ,

But not work with 3.7.0 gold ...

haytham 05-05-2008 03:38 PM

Says who? It's working fine on 3.7.0.

bitbender 05-22-2008 12:45 AM

Aye, I had no issues n 3.7, except the Java effects are lost. And it doesn't seem to retain excluded user group settings for me either.. Pity, I liked this mod a lot back in 3.6.

I am getting this same error. It only happens if a "guest" user (web crawler) tries to access a forum that does not exist. If I am logged in and go to the same link vbulletin gives the invalid forum error as it should. If I log out and try it I get the database error and it sends me the email error message. If I disable the marquee the problem goes away. It looks to me that for some reason something is adding an extra comma in the code. In your error above there is an extra comma between the 20 and the 4.

Mine has the extra comma between two forum IDs also.

Any ideas anyone?

My board does this exact thing too.... I never traced it to BOT activity.

bitbender 05-27-2008 03:08 PM

Can any one shed some light as to why the Java effects are lost in 3.7?

I'd really like to use this mod, and before tearing it apart to see what's up, I'd thought I'd ask again...

It displays the new post lines properly, but they are all there in a list, not one at a time as the xample shows...

bitbender 06-04-2008 04:24 PM

Well, I am going to uninstall this mod, there seems to be no support for it. Pity, too.. it was the nicest fader....

I am guessing it is bot activity because users would not never go to a deleted forum since there is nothing for them to clik on. Also, all the errors have been traced to only "GUEST" users which are usaly bots.

I still have the problem, but just live with it. I see others are having the problem too.

Have installed this update and now get the following error when trying to access my forum

Fatal error: Call to undefined function nlp_iconinfo() in /home/alphabravo/public_html/forum/global.php(591) : eval()'d code on line 175

Please could you advise. When I de-activate the mod then forum works normally again.

I really love this mod but I am now having problems with it myself. Any plans on updating it to fix the problems? I would love to keep this installed.

Dingo14 08-08-2008 11:54 AM

nice mod just would like to see the usergroup display option problem solved, can't turn off who views it, also date and time displaying wrong, time displays date and vice versa, I have played around with my board settings but still does not fix problem. Other then that looks and works great

Total666 09-06-2008 02:16 PM

I would have major mysql problems (Extreme high load ) , when I would have move that 500 members online at once with this mod , I disabled it and had 1008 members on at once without any problem the other night .. No lagging or high load ..
