by far the best shoutbox to date!! zt did an amazing job on this.

thats what he said early in this post .. do some reading .. i like the shout but to pay that just for the privlage of a smiles buttun to make my users happy i will just wait for a peep that likes to share and not get rich off the work

Will PRO version have an editable Shoutbox History? If it is, it would be nice to be able to set the number of shouts per page, and to search shouts per user o content.

Oh come on. Don't start crying that he doesn't want to share. He shares enough as it is; he can choose to sell his products if he wants to. I'm glad he released a free version of it as it is. If you want a good forum, you gotta be willing to spend alittle cash on it.

FYI, the smilie feature isn't going to be the only thing in PRO. If he hasn't said anything about what's gonna be in pro, THEN you'd be impressed. He's not done yet. ;)

Anyway, I haven't had a problem with it so far. Just can't wait for the extra nifty features that this will have in the PRO version. :)

What you need to remember Paldo is that Zero Tolerance and the team have given up hours of their own spare time outside of college and work and real life to bring you such a high class hack.
You may not think that it is work the money but you need to consider the number o hours we have put into it and that if you went to a company for something similar that you would be looking to pay alot more.
Yes you may be able to find someone that will modiy it for smilies for you maybe for free, maybe for a little fee but can you guarrentee that it will be at the high standard that we offer?

Bozza, The vBAdvanced thing isnt on the feature list atm, but it may be adeed in a later update.

Showing shoutboxes on all pages will be in it, as well as showing different shoutboxes on different pages

It is already about the same, or slightly less, server intensive than 2.1, i believe.

CNBA it will let you set the shoutbox size and font size, so effectivley yes, you can set number of shouts. It will have a fully editable shout archive, and you should be able to search by content as well :)

@ Paldo - The shoutbox here is the most advanced shoutbox released for vBulletin, and is given to you for free. The pro version will have 2-3 times as many advanced features, and we believe will be the most advanced shoutbox created anywhere. Making products takes a lot of time, especially making products like this, which are large and complicated.

You would not go to work every day and work for free, so please, do not try to pour scorn on us for not doing the same thing.

The prices i mentioned are estimates, and we ARE planning on making it cheaper with other inferno technologies products, allowing people to grab great deals. I don't think there is a single person in here, who after seeing the full PRO feature list, will think that $30-50 is unreasonable, especially considering people pay hundreds of dollars for hacks which are less complex, and done by less able coders.

Thanks for your response Inferno Tech. I do hope you can make something for vBAdvanced because at this moment I use vBShout 2.1 as a module. Someone made a little add-on for it to show it in a vBA Module. Isn't it so that you can check that add-on and perhaps make some alterations to it so it works with Inferno vBShout? I use it as a module because I got my forum integrated with vBAdvanced and I just checked the vBShout module for every page so it's everywhere, no matter where I go.

Since the add-on for vBAdvanced for 2.1 is already available, I guess it's not a big job to get it for this one or am I wrong?

$30 reasonable. $50 not ;) just my opioion, but you will most likely make more money, and have more happy people with with a $30 price tag or less.

Prune doesn't work for users (neither ID neither Nick) just for all shoutbox.

I agree... anything above $30 for me is a bit too much, but I'll fork up $30 or less for it for sure :D and I've already gotten the RPG 3 ;)

Prune for users isnt done yet, may be a pro only feature.

pricing should be $30, and $20 for those who own an "owned" RPG license, but this may change before release.

In the old vBShoutbox the messages were disposed in other way.. the "cammed" from the top and nowthe came from the botton...

Is there any thing that can be done to have the "old style" back?

Hey Inferno,

Could there be any reason why myself and other IE users get this error: "A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive" Once i take off your shoutbox, it fixes and no one gets this error anymore. I Do want to purchase the Pro version, but I just hope this will be fixed before hand. or assured that it's fixed when pro is released.

Btw, it works fine with firefox. But, alot of the users don't use firefox.

Sarver this is a problem that only tends to appear on heavily loaded servers, could you let us know what your server loads are just to make sure it isn't another bug that has appeared.

Woow , its the BEST! Respect!!

This gave me a server load of about 8.00 with about 25 members online
as soon as i removed the shoutbox the load dropped back to 0.32 as it should be.
This is the same issue i had with the old version pre-flatfile (2.0)

I use the 2.1 flatfile for staff only with no problems!!

There was a smiley button in 2.0 and 2.1 surely you can add it to this one please?

I have had a quick look at the code actually and was wondering if the code for v2.0 is similar, i dont think its gonna be that hard to disect v2.1 and add it to this 1 :)
