Any idea?

Same here.

Adult SEO 11-19-2006 07:26 PM

Hi!

You should not create the video.html on your server, it should not exists for it to work!

Regarding the videos to be blank, I don't know the reason for this, it might be that they are still loading since loading goes slow sometimes.

Btw, I've updated the product and the smiley bug has been fixed!

Best Regards,
Jan Jaap

Eagle Eyes 11-19-2006 09:18 PM

I uninstalled it, since it was full of bugs.

You have fixed the similie bug. Good job!

Well i think you need good instructions for installing.

Before i install it again, i wanna make sure i am doing things right.

Quote:

Import the XML product Done
Upload the attached icon images (or use your own)
Default is:
/images/editor/google.gif
/images/editor/youtube.gif Done
Open htaccess.txt, configure it (replace yourdomain with your domain), save it as .htaccess and upload it to the root of your forum Not Done
Run the included installer Have Done it before, and then uninstalled the product, should i run this again?
The installer will also upgrade previous instalations
Bug: when you run the installer more then once, multiple of the same indexes are created. I haven't found a way yet to prevent this. I have posted some messages on MySQL forums to find an answere and will then upgrade the installer. For now it is adviced to run the installer just once and for upgrades it is adviced to check the PREFIXseovideos table after upgrading to see if there are any duplicate indexes configured to remove them if needed.
To install the Videobar anywhere on the forum use the folowing code:
PHP Code:
<!-- SEO Videos Index Bar --> Shows the title and everything but with blank page. Anyways this has to be seen once i install it again.
Right now, i use the one .htaccess file which effects all the subdirectories.

Currently my .htaccess file looks like this.

Code:

## OpenSEF plain htaccess file

## Can be commented out if causes errors
Options FollowSymLinks

## mod_rewrite in use
RewriteEngine On

## If Joomla is installed in the web server root
## RewriteBase /
## If Joomla is installed in a sub-directory
## RewriteBase /directory_name_here
RewriteBase /

## Begin 3rd Party or OpenSEF Section
##
#RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^(/component/option,com) [NC,OR]  ##optional - see notes##
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} (/|\.htm|\.php|\.html|/[^.]*)$  [NC]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule (.*) index.php
##
## End 3rd Party or OpenSEF Section

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^pakistaniforces\.com
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.pakistaniforces.com/$1 [R=301,L]

RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^(sitemap.*\.(xml|txt)(\.gz)?)$ vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=$1 [L]

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^pakistaniforcesforum\.com
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.pakistaniforcesforum.com/index.php?styleid=35/$1 [R=permanent,L]

How should i paste your .htaccess code?

By the way, Google and Youtube images from the editor are gone!! Nothing there.

Hi!

I am currently working on Any Media 4 SEO edition, it will be better then this mod and offer the same functionality.

First thing I will change is the parsing of videos, the videos will now be played with their original player to give credit to the videohosts as you may know they are losing money so this is the least you could do to pay them and I am aspecting it is ilegal to parse the videos via a custom player.

The new AnyMedia is being tested here: http://www.publiceren.net/anymedia/s...posted=1#post2

Best Regards,

transitbus 11-20-2006 02:35 PM

Once again this is broken. When trying to post I get code errors and when I remove this mod I get none.

Not going to reenable this to figure it out, there are other mods that do the same thing without error.

Sorry Adult, I just don't have time to deal with all these errors

Actually my forum is now hosed when posting and I have no idea how to undo what your mod did

here is what is happening whe nI edit any post

Attachment 56292

Thisis with IE and not firefox. tell me what you changed please so I can undo it since your uninstaller now leaves remnants.

Adult SEO 11-20-2006 04:42 PM

Hi!

If you disable or remove the product and uninstall the SEO Videos fields from the Database it will be fully uninstalled. There are no other changes.

For me the inline editor works fine btw, so the bug might be due to a difrent mod.

Jan Jaap

Yes, I have the same problem with Smilies (on the right side of the text editor, not the dropdown box) after I installed this plugin. I am running 3.6.3 btw.

Thanks Adult SEO . That works!
However, I am still having problem with Google Video post. I kept getting this error:

Warning: file_get_contents() [function.file-get-contents]: URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration in /includes/class_bbcode.php(166) : eval()'d code on line 65

Warning: file_get_contents(http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...85656910458954) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in /includes/class_bbcode.php(166) : eval()'d code on line 65

The video display ok and I can play but kept getting this error. Could this have anything to do with mod rewrite disable on my host? TIA.

For some reason the <!-- SEO Videos Index Bar --> is not returning videos, the videoplayer is there, but the video itselfs are empty...

Nephalim 11-21-2006 10:30 AM

Is the add rel="nofollow" mean that members cannot find the youtube video at you tube? also can just admin and super admin add videos or can everyone? And can I put the videos in a members only area?

thanks

Nephalim 11-21-2006 01:20 PM

Im not sure, but i assume the .htaccess should create html pages, so thats probably also why that link goes to an error page, and also doesnt display the videos because of that.

Im very sure someone here can help us :alien:

Adult SEO,

I think this has to do with fopen() and URL file access is disable problem with many hosts. It would be nice if you use cURL to make it more portable. Thanks.

Hi!

The mod has cURL support from the beginning! You can enable it from the adminpanel.

cURL will also ensure that the user doesn't have to wait for minutes when a videohost is down since you can specify the connection timeout and it will also ensure that the videohosts don't ban you as fast as they may when they detect your server being accessing the videos as cURL will simulate a real user!

Best Regards,
Jan Jaap

camdude 11-22-2006 07:58 AM

Is previous post also an answer to how the .htaccess file should be written for boards that are installed in a subdirectory ? My forum is installed in /forum and the videobar isnt working with that rewrite condition .. See posts 179 and 180

Can you post an example of a rewrite rule for /forum ?

does anyone else have trouble using html on with this hack ?

Hastin 11-23-2006 11:48 AM

Great hack, but have a couple of issues:

1. What would the .htaccess look like for a forum installed in /forums/?
2. It seems that all my videos in the index are black. I've tracked this down to how the script is parsing the videoid. Most of my videos have the wrong id in the database. What's going on?

I put the new htaccess file, but same result. The videos are okay within the forum. But the <!-- SEO Videos Index Bar --> only shows the borders of the video player and a black screen in the middle. Also there are no video pages within the directory.

What about these two lines if the forum is in /forum
Code:

Also, where are the images mentioned in the installation.

Hi!

The images are attached to the mod (google.gif/youtube.gif).

Regarding the 301 redirect to make your www. less domain redirect to www.domain.com you should just add /forum/ or any other url you want the www. less domain redirect to.

I'm having a problem with the installation instructions and I was wondering if you could clarify a few things for me before I get started.
This is my first vBulletin Mod, so bear with me if these seem like "noob" questions...

Instalation:
Quote:

1. Import the XML product
How would I do that?
Is this done through the vB Admin Control Panel?
If so, what part?

When I try to do that through the "Style Manager" > "Import Style XML File" I get an error that says: Invalid File Specified

Quote:

Upload the attached icon images (or use your own)
Default is:
/images/editor/google.gif
/images/editor/youtube.gif
Where are they attached?
I'm not seeing them.

Quote:

Open htaccess.txt, configure it (replace yourdomain with your domain), save it as .htaccess and upload it to the root of your forum
OK, that one I think I understand.

Quote:

Run the included installer
Sounds easy, but how do I get too it to run it?
Do I do that through my browser like I did when I installed vBulletin?
Does it matter where I run the installer from anywhere in my vBulletin install?
Can I upload that file to anywhere in my vBulletin install, such as in the install folder of my vBulletin installation?

Do I have to change any of my write permissions (chmod to 777) for any of these files that I'm uploading for this to work correctly?

OK, I think that is all for now.
Thanks! :)
