Cyb has been been good on responding...he might to busy to get to you right now, he is a class act though ;)

Valter 01-12-2007 07:32 AM

Sorry for the late reply...

I haven't planned to do any function upgrades in the near future because I'm very busy. Atm I'm only ready to fix bugs if any of them are found in my hacks.

And if I do something I don't need anyone to pay for it here. Just mark hacks as installed and you'll be informed by e-mail when new versions are released.

It would be very nice to config the Forum-Depth for every Forum.

Forum_A lists 3 Steps down.
Forum_B lists 2 Steps down.

I also would pay for that.

I have installed this hack and all is great but the only issue is that the background color where the subforums are setup shows up blue and the rest of my site is white? How do I change the background color

bada_bing 01-19-2007 01:40 PM

Any help please

taheri6 01-28-2007 10:07 AM

Hi guys,

no matter what I do I cant get this to work - I followed the install instructions to the letter.

It will not place my sub forums in columns, it displays them all on one line - you can see it at http://forums.yaur.com

I am using default style

Thank you in advance.

hellmet 01-28-2007 10:52 AM

How do I reduce the gap/space between two columns??

Did you change your settings located in Cyb - Forumhome Sub-Forums Manager
under your vBulletin Options menu?

taheri6 01-28-2007 04:22 PM

Hi,

Thank you for the reply - I did change the settings yes - everything except for the columns is working, the post count/reply count shows if enabled, the sub forums is hidden if enabled, everything but the columns.

I think you had to go to :
-Vbulletin Options
-Forums listing display options
-And the setting for that should be:
+Depth of Forums - Forum Home = 2
+Depth of Forums - Forum Display = 2
+Depth of Sub-Forums = 2

As I see your sreen shot ..your depth of sub-forums is 1 ...you should change it to 2 ...then it's should work fine .

Check all that options ...It's may fix your problem .

What exactly does this feature do? My understanding is that it should exclude forums/subforums from being listed entirely. Although it doesn't seem to do this at all. I tried listing the subforum, the parent forum, and tried also parent category. None of these had any noticable effect.

Either this is a bug or a feature that pertains to something else. In any case, if there a way to hide subforums from being listed from specific forums?

Edit: Now I think I understand what the Exclude function does. Although Is there a way to completely hide subforums from being listed on forumhome?

Edit 2: Found a small work-around for what I need Basically I went into the forumhome_forumbit_level2_post template and found this code:

Code:

<if condition="$show['subforums']"><div class="smallfont" style="margin-top:$stylevar[cellpadding]px"><strong>$vbphrase[subforums]</strong>: $forum[subforums]</div></if>
and replaced it with this code:
Code:

<if condition="($forum[forumid] == 1 OR $forum[forumid] == 2)"><else />
        <if condition="$show['subforums']"><div class="smallfont" style="margin-top:$stylevar[cellpadding]px"><strong>$vbphrase[subforums]</strong>: $forum[subforums]</div></if>
</if>

Where as 1 and 2 are the two forumids I don't want to have the subforums appear under.

I changed them all to 2 and it didnt affect the output of the page in any way, it still looks exactly the same.

Cyb -
Much respect for you and your mods. They are some of the most useful and easiest to use mods here.

Thanks

Sam1985 02-28-2007 05:56 AM

Hello,

Is this any different than this?

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...=99829&page=18

lstintxs100 03-01-2007 12:46 AM

thanks. exactly what I was looking for.

michaelsilvia 03-04-2007 09:50 PM

As always great hack!

NoCo7 03-06-2007 03:31 AM

Fantastic Plugin!

You should consider adding icon control as well for the sub-forums, would be kewl to have the ability to change the icons for each sub-folder as well as the ability to change how they're listed/shown.

All in all though, the best plug in I've downloaded in awhile!

abroad 03-07-2007 04:57 PM

I have just installed it as descriped but there are no changes even when I activate the hack....

the output is the same as without the hack....what did I do wrong? Just installed vbulletin and I am a newbie :)

taheri6 03-07-2007 05:32 PM

Yeah I have never been able to get this to work either, I have posted multiple times but no matter what I change, if I disable, I enable, I change the settings, there are absolutely no changes to the forum output.

good luck on getting help, personally I just gave up on this mod :(

abroad 03-07-2007 05:36 PM

is there an alternative?

Valter 03-08-2007 11:16 AM

abroad,
As I can see on your forums you have no any sub-forum.

abroad 03-08-2007 11:20 AM

I have 2 child-forums...is this something different? Where can I create sub-forums then?

Valter 03-08-2007 11:27 AM

-Category
--Forum (child of category)
---Sub-forum (child of forum)

d3v1L 03-09-2007 07:49 AM
