Eagle Creek 06-12-2006 01:43 PM

Can I exclude a forum of sending the PM's?

Alan @ CIT 06-12-2006 03:30 PM

Eagle Creek: Yes, it's in the Moderation Auto-PM - General Options settings in the AdminCP.

Thanks,
Alan.

peterska2 06-12-2006 08:59 PM

doesn't work on 3.6 here either. same error as above.

WolfsongNevan 06-13-2006 02:34 AM

I know this was discussed earlier, but I don't remember seeing a definitive answer ....

Will it be possible for a PM to be sent if a reply was edited or deleted in a future update, perhaps?

Also, I would love to see an option for the PM to say that a thread has been deleted, even if it's only been moved ... I gave my board scenario earlier about having a deleted thread archive, and the PM states it's been moved, when we would like it to say deleted.

LOVE this mod. It really helps on our board because a lot of our staff are friendly with the members, and it saves the mods from having to be the "bad guy" with their friends. :) Also saves staff from looking like they're picking on certain members who can't seem to follow the posting rules. ;) Thanks so much!!

ConqSoft 06-13-2006 04:52 AM

Hmm. I have all the options set to Yes, but it didn't send a PM on a Post deletion. (Thread moves/deletes work fine.)

Anyone else?

See a few posts up - the next version which will be compatible with 3.6 will be released when vBulletin 3.6 Beta 2 is released :)

Thanks,
Alan.

I will add this into a future version. It may not be the next version however.

This will be included in a future version.

Working ok here. Is the Post :: Delete plugin enabled, and do you have any other plugins using the same hook? Also, are you sure that the forum the post is in isn't in your exclude list?

Thanks,
Alan.

Hmm. I see the Inline Post Delete plugin, but no Standard Post Delete plugin.

(I don't have any exclusions.)

Alan @ CIT 06-13-2006 04:09 PM

Hi ConqSoft (use to play a game called Conquer btw, about 10 years ago - fantastic game)

How are you deleting the post? (ie, Inline moderation tools, editing the post and picking delete, modcp or some other way?

Thanks,
Alan.

ConqSoft 06-13-2006 04:16 PM

I used the Edit -> Delete option this particular time.

Alan @ CIT 06-13-2006 04:17 PM

Ahh, it doesn't support that (yet) :)

Try deleting a post by ticking the box and using the Inline Mod dropdown menu - see if that works.

Edit -> Delete will (well, may) be in a future version.

Thanks,
Alan.

ConqSoft 06-13-2006 05:02 PM

Ahh, ok. Thanks!

nymyth 06-14-2006 05:25 PM

great stuff......installed

Peace

Alan @ CIT 06-16-2006 05:15 PM

Hi all,

If you have any feature requests that you'd like to see in the next version, now is the time to tell me :)

The list so far is

* vBulletin 3.6 Support
* Support for editing posts / titles using the ajax quick edit bits
* Support for deleting posts via quick edit
* Don't send a PM if you are moderating your own thread
* Send PM on merge
* Send a Delete PM instead of a Move PM if moved to a particular forum (ie, a recycle bin type forum)

Anyone got anything they wish to add to this list?

Thanks,
Alan.

BoYagoob 06-16-2006 07:10 PM

installed :)

johnrizz 06-18-2006 11:58 PM

I'm pretty much lazy so I don't have the patience to read through twelve pages sorry if this question has been asked!:classic:

Everything seems to be working fine, this truly is a GR8 install for Vb3.x. What I don't get is when you delete a post from a thread, you do get the PM letting you know a post has been deleted but it doesn't tell you what forum it was deleted from. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Alan @ CIT 06-19-2006 12:01 AM

It's not designed to give the forum name for post deletes unfortunately :)

It just gives the post ID and the thread that it was in:

Code:

Post ID: {item_name}
Thread: {source_name}
Reason: {reason}

Thanks,
Alan.

johnrizz 06-19-2006 12:20 AM

got-cha! Thanks for the reply. this is so great.... clicky..clicky***Install***

tamborinegal 06-19-2006 12:46 AM

This is great. My moderators are so happy. Thank you for releasing this Alan.

Alan @ CIT 06-19-2006 12:47 AM

Your welcome - thank you to you and everyone else for installing it :)

Thanks,
Alan.

user02934123123 06-19-2006 05:29 PM

Any news yet on when you'll have the 3.6-compatible release ready? I'd like to get it thoroughly tested on my 3.6 beta forum before 3.6 goes to gold release and I transfer over my main forum.

Alan @ CIT 06-19-2006 05:31 PM

I've ported it over to work on 3.6 and have added half the feature list I mentioned a few posts back.

I'm hoping to have it finished and released before the end of the week :)

Thanks,
Alan.

Alan @ CIT 06-19-2006 05:49 PM

Note to self: Age cutoff point

Alan @ CIT 06-20-2006 03:37 PM

Good news all!

Moderation Auto-PM v2.0 has been released, with many much requested features, and full vBulletin 3.6 Beta 2 support!

Whats new in Version 2.0?
  • Fully compatible with both vB 3.5.4 and vBulletin 3.6 Beta 2 or above!
  • Support for editing posts / titles using the ajax quick edit bits
  • Support for deleting posts via quick edit
  • Don't send a PM if you are moderating your own thread
  • Send a Delete PM instead of a Move PM if moved to a particular forum (ie, a recycle bin type forum)
  • Age Cutoff Point - if the item is over a certain age, a PM won't be sent
  • A couple of tiny bugfixes that no-one noticed
To upgrade, just re-upload the PHP files and re-import the Product XML, making sure to set "Allow Overwrite" to Yes :)

As usual, any comments, questions, suggestions or complaints are welcome :)

Thanks,
Alan.

Darn, I knew I forgot something :D

It'll be in the next major release.

Thanks,
Alan.

ConqSoft 06-20-2006 03:56 PM

Suggestion: Can all the AdminCP options be combined into one entry instead of all separate?

bada_bing 06-20-2006 04:29 PM

Does this ne wversion 2.0 still work for vb 3.5.3 ?

Alan @ CIT 06-20-2006 04:30 PM

ConqSoft: I'll see what I can do :)

Bada Bing: I've only tested it on vB 3.5.4 and 3.6 Beta 2, but it *should* work on 3.5.3 :)

Thanks,
Alan.

Thanks,

Im currently using the prior version on vb 3.5.3 and hate to break it as I love this hack.. Is there a way to confirm that it works for 3.5.3 before I upgrade? This would be really nice man.

Alan @ CIT 06-20-2006 04:43 PM

If the previous version worked ok on 3.5.3, then this one should.

The easiest way to test it is to install it, if it doesn't work, just un-install it and re-install the previous version - installation only takes a few seconds :)

Thanks,
Alan.

redlabour 06-20-2006 05:05 PM

Updated german Phrases for V2.0 ! ;)

Great thanks

bada_bing 06-20-2006 05:19 PM

Just to let everyone know that version 2.0 does work great with version 3.5.3 also.

Thank You Alan @ CIT

WolfsongNevan 06-20-2006 10:28 PM

Whoo-hoo, thanks! Both of my requests were added to the new features. I have one other request .... the ability to NOT send a PM when performing a moderation (for whatever reason). ;)

This is one of my favorite hacks ... thanks so much!!

home9000 06-21-2006 02:06 AM

" Support for editing posts / titles using the ajax quick edit bits"
That what I am looking for

but if the ajax disable in my fourm do you think this will work ?

Keyser S?ze 06-21-2006 07:47 AM

excellent hack, thumbs up!

Am I missing something? If you disable AJAX on your forum then you're not able to edit posts/titles using the AJAX quick edit bits... therefore this mod wouldn't have anything to Auto-PM.

WolfsongNevan 06-21-2006 04:47 PM

I'm confused about how I would change the PM to say the thread was deleted instead of moved, when it's being moved to one specific forum (a deleted thread archive) .... can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm guessing it needs to be done in Phrases, but I'm seeing where I can change it for only one forum.
