I cant wait to use this fantastic product but for the life of me I cant get the nav item to appear in the admin cp left nav.

Ive installed, uninstalled, installed, uninstalled; deleted and re-uploaded all the files several times; refreshed the admin; read and re-read the instructions; and even used the admin/index.php?do=buildbitfields suggestion from earlier in this thread, but nothing seems to work.

Please help! I feel like Im going crazy and missing something.

I add an element, but no marker is showing up in the map, while the element is in the element list.

Map Size: My forum is 700px in width and the vbgooglemaphse.php page is spilling over the right side. How can i change the table size?

File Name: How can i change the file name from vbgooglemaphse.php to something which my members will remember a bit better such as map.php?

I'm waiting for this too! I need to edit elements listed in Details and in the Bubble.

To add a marker is there anyway you could enter the address and it will mark it. The way it is now where you have to manually find each location makes it very hard to pinpoint locations.

4nmedia you can paste the latitude and longitude on the fields it work too.

It will be good to have a search engine or use vBulletin search engine so members could search for pinpoits. Otherwise to someone that has 1000 pinpoints the filters is not enough.

I'd like to search by Zip code. Is this possible to put in?

I always have the first entry missing even though it appears in my list.

Has anyone had trouble adding a new category? I just installed this on 3.5.5, and when I try adding a category, I get an SQL error.

AND... I just realized it's erroring out because there is a ' within the text, so I guess the code needs to be modified to allow for single quotes within strings :)

for some reason this won't install on my /forum domain but it does install on my test forum @ /beta/forum

After i install the product and refresh the admin panel i don't have any menu item for the GoogleMap. None at all. And if i go to admincp/vbgooglemaphse_admin.php i get a blank page

For both installations i have done the exact same steps. Does anyone know why this might occur on one forum and not on the other one?

2) have a field in the user's profile to add the marker directly

Before, there no problme with this module.

However, at the new server, I can not add any new point on the map.

Just showen the message:

Your full text could not be added into the database because one or more fields blank were left blank. Please make sure you have enter all required information.

I have transfered all required files by using plesk tool.

Please give any advice for thie trouble.

It would be great if you were able to specify the size of the map in the admincp like you can for the ME version.

I just installed the vbgooglemap2.5.2 on my 3.6.2 version. Allappears to work well until I click on insert the information to add my listing.

The error that appears is "Cannot open XML File". Can you please assist. I looks at all the files and they are set to 777

1. Is it possible to increase the size of the google window (either by editing a file or a setting somewhere)

2. Any possibility that a later release will allow you check and uncheck categories making them either appear or disappear on the map.

3. Is it possible to search for a street.

Any update to when the geo version will be released or addon (ZIP CODE)

so I'm having a problem with this one...

i have two databases, each with a separate copy of vbulletin installed. I instlaled this onto my test server, and uploaded all the files to that corresponding forum folder titled "testvb3". After installing everything, I go to click on any of the 4 main links ([Show Main map][List Elements] [Add Elements] [About vbgooglemap] ), and it points to my /forum folder on my server rather than "testvb3", which is where all the files are.

is there somewhere I can change it to look in that folder? or was it default set to look for those files in /forum?

ok, nevermind....i found the $bburl in the templates to fix that problem, but it doesn't save any markers added, so I give up....there's some other template problems too, but yeah, it's a good idea, but messing all sorts of stuff up on my test server...

Is there no more support for this hack?

I have checked documentation and can't seem to find an easy method for adding and editing the marker types eg the colours. I did it in the database. Is there an easier way?

It's a great script Stony, congrats.

Here's my suggestions for improving an excellent product ...

1. After adding an element the map redirects back to the main map. I think the redirect page should be a choice of either back to the Main Map, Add Elements or Forums. People who are adding elements do not want the hassle of returning from the main map all the time.

2. Users can't edit their markers - this should be changed. When I edit their markers my user name comes up on the marker which makes it look like I am stealing a member's glory. It would also be handy to be able to give marker-editing permission to certain members as per the forum threads.

3. Easily editable fields for the marker box would be handy. Many people would need a way to catalogue markers into country and states etc so they can be easily filtered when there is a lot of them. eg if someone only wants to see markers in Texas, USA. I think drop down menus in the marker box for countries and their states would be the only way to do this, a big job but a huge step forward in functionality.

Would be keen to hear if you are installing these features - I was considering employing someone to make the changes, as author of the script do you think it would be possible to make such changes easily?

Doesn't work in Iexplorer, the marks that I entered cannot be seen. In Firefox works well.
