Of course there is an advanced quick reply in 3.5.1. It's still working just fine on my board. You need to change your board settings to use the advanced quick reply.

err...try altering your settings in the admin cp for a start m8...course thers an advanced quick reply box...

Installed and works great in firefox with 3.50 gold ;)

also I edited the txt a little to change the font color to green :)

also you can do the same thing in postbit quick edit ;)
for quick edit smilies ;D
