yes, I am not upgrading my site to 3.5 till we have this for 3.5

Posting this again for those that didnt see. This SHOULD BE A DEFAULT part of VB. Every site needs tools to drive traffic.

Go here and tell them "I WANT THIS ADDED TO VBULLETIN!".

cmiller,

I added my 2 cents :) I really hope someone comes up with 3.5 version of this soon, I love this hack, I'd be willing to pay $$ for this hack!

Combull was good but could have been better. That said it always brought lots of my users back and none complained about being bulk emailed.

I hope it gets release/remade for 3.5, I miss it :disappointed:

Hmm ... not necessarily.
My board gets +- enough traffic - without being advertised. :)
So at least I don't see a real need for such a tool (which is undeniably a nice toy though).

I wish to have it for 3.5 too. Only revamped because it would always timeout trying to email my 30k members.

I'm sure you could request that modification from one of these leet coders here at vb.org. Once it comes out that is.

Have you ran some stats with or without it? We now average 220 unique visitors on a normal day, but on friday when combull goes out we get about 1500 or so. I am going to upgrade only because I need articles, reviews, and other things that only 3.5 can do, but I am still looking to hire someone to write this for me. Not everyone has a chance to check a forum dailly but that doesnt mean they dont want to know whats going on.

I have had members thank me dozens of times for "reminding" them about the site and whats going on with it. Without a weekly update like this, my site will be hurting big time.

Also wanted to comment, not everyone has this luxury. I actually have a very unique forum but it is specific to one industry and I cannot even open it to search engines or guests because there is industry specific info that cant be leaked to just anyone. :(

I will be doing something similar (as I need it as well!) - however I most likely wont get to it for a few more weeks. I know exactly how to impliment it which will make it a freaking dream. As cool as commbull is - I had to hack the living heck out of it to get it to do what I wanted. Already played with some prototypes and Im pretty pumped to get started on it.

That would be cool and I would be extremely grateful. Thanks
