If I install this hack, will quests who post see that avatar in their post? Also member who do not have an avatar selected will they see that no avatar avatar? If not how can I edit my forum to do so?

Thank you, trilOByte!

They will see the guestavatar.gif

If a registered user does not have an avatar selected, they will see the noavatar.gif. You can change noavatar.gif and guestavatar.gif to anything you like.

:)

Well thanks for the answer but I was meaning when they post. How can I make it so when a guest posts on my board where an avatar usually is that quest avatar will apear. Same for members with no avatars selceted. I'm sure since vB doesn't include and avatar of it's own for guests amd no avatar selected I will have to code something.. Thanks

I followed the instructions fully, but I'm missing the Private Message Bar

I don't understand, if you've inserted all the content of

<-- !welcomepanel -->

into your postbit template, you should have a pm bar.

Alternatively, just put ...

$pminfo

where ever in the postbit template you want the pm bar to appear - remember to edit out other instances otherwise you will have multiple pm bars.

Dalius 12-16-2001 02:57 PM

I've already done that
I'll try re-putting the welcome panel code their
