I had to go back and look, but you're right. Right there in post #1 he says "PNG avatar format" which any admin should know means non-animated.

Got to read these things, including the entire thread, before installing.

Files upload easy, Install no errors.
Yes profile photo is now Avatar.
Yes link to Avatar gone in settings.
Still checking it out for my needs since I do not want avatars at all unless I can control more on what uses them.
Thank you for making this mod.

hmm...
photo is not show on the avatar on the forumdisplay..
is this working on 4.2.1 ?

If the following are done, it works in 4.2.5

160х160px - profile photo size
80x80 - avatar size
Go to ACP -> Options -> User Pucture Options. Select corner rounding you like.
Go to ACP -> Rebuild counders. Run "Rebuild avatars from photos"

Run 4.2.5, I have managed to allow png files ... whichever you want, modifying hooks. But the files are uploaded as thumb / without transparencies, but in the profile there are transparencies

some help?
