Also, I'm running a non-English based RTL with utf-8 encoding, 200K users, 5M posts board, and there are a few problems with RTL and non-English languages.
Can you please make the display in credits.php like it was in 1.4? because it looks really messy the way it is displayed right now.
Moreover, does this hack includes the admin donate/fees?

Thanks in advance.

Why there is no demo link or screenshots? :S

There is not a lot to see on the front end, but we will have admin screenshots within a few days.

Hi thanks for the hack, but i'm getting two errors:
1. in the admincp:
Code:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/atraf3/domains/atraf3.iatraf.co.il/public_html/admincp/credits_admin.php on line 1114
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/atraf3/domains/atraf3.iatraf.co.il/public_html/admincp/credits_admin.php on line 1114

2. in every page in the site i get this: 'vB_AJAX_NameSuggest' is undefined.
Line: 11719, char: 1.

Can you please tell me how to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

In the short term, just edit and save each display to make the error go away.
I have a maintenance update to post in a little while today that will fix both of those.

First, I apologize that it is still in the process of having phrases inserted.
There is a style bug that I am fixing which will make the displays not look like a mess.

Yes! Admin donate has been renamed to the Adjust action. Set your usergroup permissions to use it, and create an Adjust event to start using it. It will be available on the currency transfer popup. In that event you can set (for lite) negative value for action (adjust) amount for a flat fee, or on the individual (currency) amount for per-credit as a percentage fee. If you need help with this let me know.

While this looks impressive, I can't imagine anyone installing such a significant piece of code on their site before the copyright issues are known and legally resolved. They are ANYTHING but clear, and if anything there appears to be serious doubts about claimed ownership here.

The LAST thing I want to do is take a flier on something only to have vb.org bury it or PixelFXStudio's succeed in a copyright challenge.

vb.org have already graveyarded PixelFX's version of vBCredits 1.5 (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=245226) (restored for the moment) =) The DBtech/DarkWaltz version is the only official version of vBCredits.

As far as the copyright goes, I'll simply quote you from the US gvt website:

...Even if a person hires a photographer to take pictures of a wedding, for example, the photographer will own the copyright in the photographs unless the copyright in the photographs is transferred, in writing and signed by the copyright owner, to another person.

Rob does not have this, because John never signed any such thing. Rob's "claim" is based on the fact he has no understanding of copyright law =) PixelFXStudios had a license on the copyright of Johns work, which John has now revoked. There is also no truth to the claim that John was an employee of Robs - there is no record of this ever being the case with any government agency, nor any signed contract of employment between the two.

I checked all of this personally, including the legal aspects, before bringing John on board the DBTech team. There is absolutely, 100% guaranteed, no legal basis for what Rob is saying.

I hope the mods will recognise that this is a question people may have, and leave this post up so they have the relevant information on the situation.

With that being said If anyone wants more information on the relevant copyright law and the situation, feel free to PM me and i'll clear it all up since this thread is not the place for further discussion on the issue. Thanks for your understanding

Iain

I just wanted to say thanks to DarkWaltz for checking into some issues I had this with mod, some of which, weren't the fault of this mod. All is fixed for me now, excellent support and an excellent mod!

Darkwaltz4 07-04-2010 01:38 AM

updated first post to address all release bugs :) it should be looking and working as intended now.

Kolektor 07-04-2010 01:47 AM

Thanks for fixing all the bugs. Rating should increase now. :)

whoops - updated first post, however if you installed the very first version of vBCredits II Deluxe you only need to replace the files on your server - importing not necessary (unless you want to hide the errors on the display manager, which go away if you just edit and save each one)
