Installed this mod as I have been getting hammered by spambot registrations. They weren't however getting onto the board because they weren't confirming their email addresses, will this block that too?

Is there really a difference between the two mods?
With the other mod, I just check ip and email, not username. I haven't had one person come back to me saying it wouldn't let them register.

Same here. I don't think any legitimate member has been prevented from registering since I dropped the name check.

In the last 2 weeks this has been really poor.

is this down to the sfs database? or your plugin?

im going to try other options for now as its pretty dire for me on my forum.

No, it doesn't need an update. It's working fine for me. More likely, "Mr Baldman" was just having issues connecting to the spam database?
