that error is still there (when i try to change an avatar by this mod)

Go to Plugin Manager and search for useradmin_edit_start hook in some of yours products, then try to disable it to check will the avatar option work.

Installed. Works well in profile but not from postbit dropdown. Is there a fix for 4.0.6?

working with no problem for me in 4.0.7

could it be your custom style? does it work with a default vbulletin template?
