painful is the right word.

Is there an agenda to make people think 3.6 is much slower than 4 I wonder?

The Geek 01-04-2010 09:20 PM

Step 1: Replace dev team
Step 2: Jack up prices
Step 3: Jack up queries
Step 4: Ruffle up the code
Step 5: Release with record number of bugs
Step 6: Kill off .org
Step 7: BB sells recently purchased shares in IPB and makes millions. vB is exclusive to IB sites.

I have to agree, it's really slow >_>. *shrugs*, I really hope this will be resolved as soon as possible.

I like feeling like I am back in the early 90's with dial-up...

RedWingFan 01-05-2010 05:55 PM

It's been slow for me as well.

It's probably due to 30,000+ members asking when their favorite modification is going to be released for 4.0. ;) Or the other dozen of us clamoring for Sphinx search... :erm:

I KNEW it! It always comes down to the dilithium crystals. :D

Needs more server juice for 4.0 launch I suppose... super slow for me also

Delifed 01-05-2010 10:53 PM

Mike Anime 01-06-2010 01:51 AM

JakeS 01-06-2010 06:47 AM

Don't I feel like the lucky sod? xD.

I browse this forum regularly (as a guest, just to see what's happening (Though I don't like the look of vB4 :| gave the beta a test run though) (If I use vB again at some point (phpBB for now, not due to anything against vB, just generally have nothing to use vB on at the mo) it'll be 3.x for now.) and to be honest, I haven't noticed any slowdowns what-so-ever, it's loading perfectly quick for me now also :|

But to be honest, if you guys are having so many probs with the vB Server, could you not revert vB.org back to how it was "way back when" eg, standalone? meaning, on it's own servers? though may have some legal stuff to deal with first which could take a while.

PS: Yes, tired when writing this, would explain the little bit messy post.
