That's ok.

Yes, it's a very basic hack, and yes I know coding well enough to see what you are doing. My install is not basic.

Great Mod! It took me a few tries to figure out that I was actually supposed to type yes, hit enter and type No when creating the radio buttons! LOL I couldn't figure out how to turn it Off and ON...sigh...there's no accounting for my own stupidity at times!!!

Installed, nice work.

I made little modification for my forum, so users cant change defaut url

PHP Code:

$show['panic_button_url'] = $vbulletin->userinfo["field{$vbulletin->options['panicbutton_url']}"];

changed to:

PHP Code:

$show['panic_button_url'] = "http://page of my wish"

Hi, this is my first upload/addition of the Panic Button Hack.
I went over and over the instructions. My Off and On are exactly as they are supposed to be, the profile fields are exactly as supposed to be.

In the Edit Options, I see the spot to turn the Panic Button on or off. I also found the other areas in the AdminCP area, and set them exactly as instructed to do.

I marked as installed.

No Panic Icon/Button is showing up in any of my posts. I know where to look, and they are not there. Also, the .gif is uploaded to the exact place as instructed.

Please advise.

I can make a temporary account for you, if you want to check out our CP yourself to double check my work.

Thank you so much, for any help you can give me. A ton of our members would LOVE this feature :)

[s]If you want me to take a look then feel free to PM me your site address, a temp admin user (with admin permissions - Can Administer Settings for editing options, Can Administer Styles for editing templates, Can Administer Language Settings for editing phrases and finally Can Administer Plugins for editing products and plugins), and ftp access details, without these I can not help you. I will look when I have time, and even if I have a look, I can not guarantee that I will be able to fix it, so it is up to you what you want to do. You can revoke these after I have helped you out.[/s]

Thank you for the offer sooo much!!!!!! Giving you what you need, won't be a problem at all... You'll be in the group I am in.

If you could, please PM me, and I'll give you the user-name and password for Admin access.

One more question, and I'm sorry if I sound ignorant...but, do you also need access to the host CPanel? If that is the case, please let me know at the same time you PM me for info to get into the vbulletin/AdminCP, so I can give you a temp password and login at the same timt to make it easier for you.

Best Regards,

[s]As I have stated in my previous post what I permissions I need and exactly what information you need to PM to me.

Unless you use CPanel to upload your files instead of FTP, then I will not need CPanel access.

As soon as you PM me what I need, the sooner I can get started and hopefully get it working.[/s]

As I had no PM from you with the details I required I checked out your site and noticed that this is working fine now.

Can you tell me what you missed out, so that other people can keep an eye out when installing themselves.

It may be something was unclear in the instructions, if so, the insight will enable me to make the instructions clearer.
