Yeah, I think it might also need to be changed to reflect the timezone a member has set, as opposed to the default board time. One of my members complained today that hers was 2 hours off - as per the time difference between board time and her custom-set timezone - and she had to set it with a 2 hour delay to be accurate.

Easy... so for example "X years, X months and X days since X event". A birthday, an anniversary, etc.

I think going by some of the requests made on here sofar, people are more keen on graphical countdown tickers as opposed to just a basic text timer.

Something similar to the ones i paid to have developed: http://www.theparentingsanctuary.com...rTPS/index.php

I dare say they are a LOT more complex, though... you can also get premade scripts of a similar nature on the web for a set pricetag.

No idea if anybody on VB would be willing to go to that extent or not to get a similar outcome....

So you mean countup from an event( not countup to an event) - like its been x days since my birthday.
Why would you want to know how many days its been since the event?
Sorry not trying to be rude just curious.

Is there a way to get the countdown timer to show like this;
Month - Day - Year? Instead of Day - Month - Year? *Tagged*

Well you might want to ask my forum members this question, since most of them love using this format as well. I think its great to have a way to display how long you have been married for, how far along your pregnancy is, or how old your young son/daughter is etc. :)

Count up's are vital.

Most of our users are expatriates, moving from one country to another.

Hence we would like count up events... and count down...also count since

I had to uninstall this product, it kinda blew my whole forum to errors, lots of SQL errors and such.

I installed on vB 3.7.1 PL2 and got this error:
Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in [path]/includes/plugins_usercountd.php on line 190

and some threads I couldnt view and I got "Headers already sent" errors. I don't mean to be mean or anything, but this should be marked as "beta" :\

Installed the mod correctly, had to rebuild the languages - all files uploaded etc. - i've set the usergroup to just the one i'm in and i've set the timer to my birthday with it switched on, yet it doesn't show in my sig.. any clue why it might not? I already have an image in my sig - do I need to remove it?

smooth-c 06-23-2008 12:08 PM

okay sorry, it does work but it just doesn't show under my profile about me section and sig previews.

Is it possible to create images for this mod? I've seen other sites do it such as thedibb etc.

Same problem here, I've set permissions it's all OK I set the timer, but, nothing in my sig. Any reason why it might be happening? running the latest version.
