Then "Leave as is (uses the forum display order)"...

In the Forum Manager, set the display order of the SubForums as 1, 2, 3 etc (counting across) so you have...

Forum_a (1) Forum_x (2)
Forum_p (3) Forum_m (4)
Forum_c (5) Forum_b (6)

Simply swapping the numbers will swap their positions ;-)

I'm lost... I can only sort alphabetically, not on any "desired order" that is not somehow a value in the system

How about you take a screen shot of your site as it is, then how you want it to be and then I'll let you know the best way to do it

Simply changing the display order swaps them : Compare this to my previous post

Forum_a (1) Forum_p (2)
Forum_x (3) Forum_m (4)
Forum_c (5) Forum_b (6)

Personally I don't see the point as "Display Order" does it - however, I will add that to the wishlist as "Leave as is (uses the forum display order) - Entered Vertically"

Simply clear the "Separator to use between SubForum [original was , ]" option
