I looked at the demo of this mod, and see that one item is showing -500h left in the ad. Do ads not disappear after they have expired?

I also see on the demo homepage that the ad stats show 2 active ads (correct) but if you look at the category boxes, it shows a total of 3 active ads (not correct, as one category showing an active ad does not actually have one). Is this just something with the demo, or is it a bug?

When a user deletes an ad, or it expires, is it removed from the DB or is it still there, just not shown to the end user?

Can usergroup permissions be set so only certain usergroups can (1) view ads (2) place ads?

No, it works... On my site I deleted everything when working on the 1.0.4. release and just forgot to turn the cron back on...

The same applies for the wrong category counts... I was doing development work on that site in the past so I am sure I just changed something in the database. The script has a option in the AdminCP to rebuild the counts.

Now, there is a BUG in that times should say closed when the ad is closed and I will fix that in an update soon... Also note the cron does run on the hour so it is possible to have negative times (just not that negative!)

Now, closed ads do remain in view and I will be releasing a cron file for this script soon that will remove the expired ads from the database (along with the uploaded images).

On the left site of my site, I have boxes, and I want to add more with relevant links and information about mods installed. this is my site http://novusordosaeculorum.com

Right now I hope to add a box with the title "classifieds" and in the box it shows 3 lines of text with info on the mod, a sell now and a buy now link and a random listing.

I have updated the SR Classifieds Lite scipt to add a number of new features and to fix a couple minor bugs...

Fixed Cron, sr_classifieds.php, and templates so CLOSED always "0" (Script used 0 and 2 before)
Fixed code to Open and Close ads to update category counts
Fixed layout of category display
Made closed Ads show "CLOSED" in time column instead of negative numbers.
Fixed layout issues in View Ad template
Added NEW Cron that will delete listings, uploaded images, and upload table values after ad has been closed for 90-days
NOTE - Webmasters can edit 90-days in the new CRON FILE (Line is adequately commented!)

You can delete your code from here too... On my site, just upload the code as a .txt file and I will try to give you a hand. Your questiion is just not really about this hack (you want to hack your site to show this system)...

OK, I'm stumped. Are you not allowed to have people buy stuff in the lite version?
How do you buy an item if they do not enter a paypal address?
I wanted to set my classifieds site so that people could buy stuff with in game currency so using paypal (pay real life cash for in game items) would be against the EULA.

It's not a shopping cart, it's a classified system. As in Craigslist or eBay, you contact the person and arrange payment offline. The PayPal button is just a nice addition to facilitate the process. If they don't have PayPal, then they have to handle payment another way.
