Again, I am some what of a novice. I have installed other mods to my site and they were rather easy by comparison. Thanks. |
Some questions:
Does this work with no problems on vbulletin 4.2.1? Does this mod slow down a site? I read with alarm from an earlier poster who said it did, and I didn't see a response from the developer. |
Can this thing block duplicate clicks by ip address? We have a need to count thanks on threads for a prize, and people are cheating by signing up additional accounts on the same ip. Need something to stop that from happening.
|
There's a hack that prevents multiple accounts that works pretty good.
|
How much does the pro version cost?

I'm just writing so say "thanks for all the fish!" (I have the Pro version). I'm leaving, with my large Forum, for XenForo.

Where do we find the drop down menu in post bit? We need to put the numbers to the side of the words instead of underneath them (see screenshot)
Also, where do we find the buttons for thanks, likes, and dislikes? We'd like to center that whole section. (see screenshot) |
So what's the difference between thanks and like. Why would you use one but not the other? Seems to have both available would be a bit confusing.
|
Thanks is more aggressive than likes.
|
If you thank/like a post, the postbit dropdown doesn't work anymore. Looks like there is some javascript missing or something went wrong during the AJAX request. After refreshing the page it works again.
|
Properly be downloaded from FTP folder upload
And the others? In which column in the admin panel, you should see this mod? |
Looks like a nice mod! I have a wee issue though. I'm trying this on a test site at present, but I can not get the like, thanks or dislike buttons to display to give a user a thanks or a like. I've tried Button Management, but it's still not displaying?
|
So you have set up permissions for your usergroups in Button Management? Maybe try editing each button and saving and see.

You have a link to your test site?

OK cool.
|
Sorted, the buttons are now showing, seems they were set to disable in the DBTech - Post Thanks menu in the setting, Forum Manager.
|
I m currently using Ajax Thanks mod. if i install this mod then it will replace my all old thanks?
|
I downloaded and installed and it shows "Thanks" but not "Like". How can I change it in the Lite version, or is that only a "Pro" feature.
Thanks. |

(vB4) [DBTech] DragonByte Reviews Integration
Bugfixes
Fillip |
I like this. I think I'm sold on this feature. Members will love it.
|
I like this feature, but I don't like how it's formatted. It should be more integrated with the postbit instead of looking like another post that comes after one you're thank/liking.
The buttons should be part of the postfoot. The "who clicked buttons" should be in the after_content. Any way to do that? |
The Pro version allows you to integrate the action buttons (and remove the text, so only the icons remain) as well as display the button bar above (or below) signatures :)

Thanks for your reply. :) Where can I demo the pro version and how much does it cost?
|
We do not have a demo of the Pro version available at this time, sorry :(
We tried to run a demo forum once upon a time, but malicious individuals ensured that that was essentially impossible to maintain without severely compromising the security of our server and the legitimate users who wanted to use the demo forum. You can find information regarding our products here: http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/ (we're not supposed to post pricing information here on vB.org) :) Fillip |
This is not working for me on 4.2.2 Alpha 1, checked all the permissions, the Like and Dislikes show up under the post however when you click on it, nothing happens. I reimported the xml couple of time with the same results.
|
It works perfectly fine on 4.2.2 Alpha 1 :) In most cases, the reason why the buttons would not do anything is if the files have not been uploaded correctly.
Please ensure you're using an FTP program and not the File Manager in cPanel, and drag & drop the entire contents of the upload folder to the folder your forums are in :) Fillip |

Not sure this will be helpful in your situation.
I use a local test board, when I have problems like this. Having the server local allows me to see what the server response was to the client submit. I then add a php backtrace to the source script on the offending submit -- until I find where the application went wrong. -------------------------------- Just in case :) Check Dragonbyte's support site. You may find other users that have a similar problem. Try not to run alpha software in a production environment. If you do have a local server environment let me know and we can easily find out what is going on. Good Luck |

The developers site is running the mod. :)

Thanks Ozzy, I see it now.
So looks like the the whole thing is tossed in the signature (after_content) area. I was thinking the buttons should be in the actual postfoot, like next to the "report post" icon (in the same line). Only the "who clicked buttons" would be in the signature area, and it should be collapsable. |
ok my issue after trying to reinstall is that the installation is getting stuck after Altered Table Forum, it has to be the post table which is huge. Anyway to get around the timeout?
|
Hello,
I have installed this hack (lite) in my forum but somehow, I am not able to make it work. The install went successfully without any errors, but when I click on the "Manage Buttons" link in ACP, I am getting this error : https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2013/10/65.png The thanks and like buttons are not showing up in any posts. |
Hey There,
I would like to know how can I hide the content if user is not registered and user have not given the thanks? Please let me know Thanks |
Any help with the timeout issues?
