So to help everyone that have same problem with local, and none explained how, read :) (thnx gosiah23 for the suggestion)

You will have to...uninstall the latest version (leave the files on ur webeserver) and then install 1.1 (overwrite the files) and then install 1.7 (press yes on the adminpc and overwrite again the files) and then use the localvideo:video tag. For example if the video is 4.flv, use localvideo:4.flv - And so on :)

Its been 128 pages, and none...none explain that simple fact :) Hope it helps, take care !

The Addon author said to me recently that he doesnt going to reply in any message, so if a new modder could be found to continue it, will be major hit i believe.

I've resolved my previous issue, applied the fix in plugin.

I have a second question, how can I apply permissions on a category level? i.e. category X can only be seen and media added to by a certain usergroup - wheras the other categories everyone can add media and see it.

lol yep that's what happens to free mods that people don't support the author to their liking, I could see it coming way way back :)

Hi,

I trieyd to install this mod. But without look.

Everytime I try this, I get the fowllowung error:

LOL - The demo goes to a XenForo forum. I guess it's true, vBulletin is dying and being replaced by xenforo.

Any idea why i cant find where to make a new category.?
Not in admin CP, not in sub-navbar.!?

Did i not install something right or.. what.
Everything seems to work great, just no place to make new cats.

Weird.. all i have on the right side is "Advanced Search".
Besides usergroup permissions, any idea why i wouldn't see this.?

Was working great on my site, now all of a sudden when you click on a vid , a 404 error file not found page comes up, is any one else having this problem? I still shows thumbs, but when you click, you get the error page.. :( help??

Hi!

I enabled seo links and uploaded htaccess file to media directory, now I have internal server error when I go to video link, Can someone help me whit this?

Hi ,

Somehow my adminstration links dissapeared from the navbar.

I cant add or edit any category.

Any help ? Thans in advance.

Oh well it sure does not look like this mod is supported any more so I suppose I may as well just delete it :down:

Dirtbanger,

I got the same error and it was because I was installing the files into the "forum" folder and not the root (the folder which contains the "forum" folder). Once I installed them one level up into the root, it worked like a charm.

I can not see the videos when I click on categories have category. Only one video is opened. could you help

- Is this module compatible with AME3? Can I use both?
- Is it easy to integrate ads on the video? Just need to put another player? Has someone tried it and has experience?
- Is it compatible with JW Player 5?

Ok, I have installed it,

My first answers...
- It is compatible with AME3, I can use both.
- It is not possible to add ADS with LongTail Video, because the JW WMV Player is not compatible (only JW Player 3, 4, 5 in flash are). Really Bad news... :(

Is it possible to support a Flash player in the future?

Hello,

A simple question:
After having posted a local video in the library, is there a way to modify its physical path?

Ex: I have put a video in 'customVID/videos/0' and I want to put it in 'customVID/videos/1'.

I do not find this feature when I edit the video, actually I must remove the video and post a new one :'(
Am I missing something?

Ok, I have modified the module to add the support of the JW Flash Player 5.5

1. Just copy the player.swf to the media_local.swf
2. Edit the 8WR_media_embed template to add some embed code from adsolutions
3. Add your Ads plugin in the local services (Ex: flashvars="width=400&height=320&file=http://www.blu.com/video.flv&plugins=ltas&ltas.cc=yvleppdodizyzmy" />

Seems to work fine :) (However I suppose you will loose the wm* support).
