No, it was not in the changelog so it has not been fixed :)

I'll look into it as soon as I have time.

PS: To ensure bugs aren't overlooked, it's always a good idea to post them over at www.DragonByte-Tech.com - bugs there don't get lost in time like they do here on vB.org :)

Please post Pro support questions in our Pro support forums :)

why ?

DragonByte Tech 10-13-2012 11:27 AM

Because we are not allowed to provide support for the pro versions of the modifications on vb.org so you need to post Pro support questions in our Pro support forums.

Installed this addon, works perfectly, thank you!

Ran into a pretty significant bug this morning. I ran the maintenance task to rebuild the post cache, and it removed every single mention in each post, and replaced it with -. If I go into the post and hit edit, the mention tags are still there, so when I hit save, they all come back and the post looked like it did before the cache was rebuilt.

I can try and rebuild the post cache again if it is just a one-time glitch, but has anyone else seen this? (running vbulletin 3.8.7, 3.0.5 version of this mod)

aciurczak 12-13-2012 05:18 PM

OK - it's repeatable, when I ran it again, it wiped out the few that I had changed back once again.

DragonByte Tech 12-13-2012 05:23 PM

That's not a bug in this mod - at least nothing we're able to work around. It's due to the fact that the BBCode we use is only a helper BBCode, it's not meant to be used without our hooks running, which that function does.

The mentions are still there, in the sense that they still exist in the database and any notifications will still work, but there's no way to "fix" this and there's no way to recover the posts that were corrupted by that function.

Sorry that I couldn't bring better news.

It's strange though, as it's not a 100% thing. Looking at my few hundred mentions, many of them do seem to still exist. Most of the newer ones are gone, but not all of them.
