You can do the same thing to add fields to the timeslip record as well.
In a couple versions all the custom fields will be done a lot easier through the ACP.

Thanks for the response! I had some trouble with the video field. Seems to give me a blank page (white page) when I submit the new entry. I have not had time to debug why that is just yet. I am trying to understand how it creates a plugin, but I am not really that good at code, so it takes a long time to find what I am looking for. I am learning though - thanks!!

Regarding: "It might be better to hide the fields and add a text field through a plugin."

I would still like to be able to use the cool sort feature you have on the timeslips page. If I hide the original fields and add new fields, would they still sort or (and I expect this is the case) would they not show up in the sort fields area?

I really look forward to being able to add custom fields in the ACP! That will be a great addition.:)

When i download the xml it shuts down my site and gives me an error code. As soon as i uninstall my site is back. I tryed installing lanuage file first, then first vb pro garage. Any Idea's why?

I sent you a pm about the error.
Yes, if you hide the fields then you can't use the sort anymore. You could modify the file and the templates to get it to work but I don't know if that would be too much for you want to do.

What error is it giving you? You should install the product first and then the language, but even the other way around shouldn't cause errors.

Looks like you didn't upload all the files in the upload folder. When all is said and done you should have a file called garage_func_var.php in the includes folder and the script can't find it.

includes folder in my root? I uploaded the xml folder, i cant manually upload any files in the "upload" folder.

All the files in my upload folder need to be uploaded through ftp to the forum root while maintaining the folder structure. After you upload the files you install the product xml and then the language xml.

Is this still in the works? I have tried to edit the fields and add new fields with plugins, but would really love to just visit the ACP and set up my fields to work as expected. It seems, for all my efforts, I am just unable to get it where I would like it to use on a live site. I hope this is still in the works because I love this modification. Really nice work.

If you want, send me a pm with the fields you want to add and they type for them, any selection fields let me know the values. I'll create the plugin for you.
