nvm. i got it. Nice mod :)

Very nice mod! Thanks!

Got it working after some research. It did not properly copy the mysqlbackup.php file to the includes folder :( But after forcing it to do so, it worked out fine!

Should be nice to administer and set the option to just keep a chosen amount of backups and automatically get rid of obsolete ones, to save serverspace.

Took a while to work out the directory, (not tech savy), but I got there. Great mod Paul as usual, marked installed and rated excellent. 9 secs to do the backup.

Thank you

Something got really really wrong... It's not creating the .gz files anymore. It only does sql files (over 2GB each). How can i fix this?

In Control Panel - Settings - Options - vBulletin Automatic Backup - you have an option to tick for GZip Files. Unfortunatelly, for me it doesn't work anymore...

Then you have a server issue. Speak to your host.

It's a dedicated server... so i can't talk to my host. I've checked the logs, and i see no errors. Nothing changed since last time Automatic Backup worked. Plus, i do my daily backups using .tar .gz and they work... so gzip is definatelly working.

Or maybe you can tell me where/what to look for that Automatic Backups depends on... Thanks!

Paul M 07-09-2011 02:35 PM

It simply issues a gzip command on the file, so all it depends on is the server doing what it is asked.

Is here where I have to put the extension .gzip or where?

Files Prefix
Backup files prefix, this is applied to all files.
Here I have My-we.gzip... is it ok?
