Okay...

I just have a couple of issues I need to have addressed...if support is available for this mod.

I have the Comment postbit enabled...and every box checked in the options for the Comment postbit.

Here are the issues:
  1. Post counts still show even though Comment postbit box is checked to hide them.
  2. tk's egg avatar image is showing and I need to remove it.
  3. Wired1's drop down in a postbit is showing and I need to remove it, as well.

Any suggestions?

I have posted in tk's egg avatar thread, as well as Wired1's thread to see if these mods can be disabled for certain forums.

Any help is greatly appreciated...thanks, in advance...

Update...

I also noticed that if one uses the Edit Article radio selection from the Article Tools drop down...you cannot edit the content of the article. It simply lets you delete, sticky, etc. It also shows article moderation. Now...I noticed one has to enable the Article Tools in the Article postbit in order to display the links...and then one can edit the article. This isn't right if we don't want those links to appear. They are redundant, anyway...since all the options should be enabled from the Thread Tools drop down.

Is this going to be fixed in the next release?

Being that the Edit Article menu is just the Edit Thread menu with "Article" replacing the word "Thread", there wouldn't ordinarily be an option to edit the content.

I would suggest, however, that if you have Tools disabled then the Edit Article button should still apear to Admins, Mods and the OP. It seems some of the options to hide aren't hiding, but then, I have a heavily customized postbit, so that could explain some of it.

One thing I did just notice is that the article postbit is not displaying when switching to Hybrid and Threaded Modes. Not sure if it really needs to one of those, but thought I'd mention it.

It was causing errors to be displayed with no posts showing on viewing thread.

Any suggestions?

Find in articles.php:

PHP Code:

ORDER BY $sqlsortfield $sqlsortorder

Replace with:

PHP Code:

ORDER BY sticky DESC$sqlsortfield $sqlsortorder

As it's a non-vBulletin default template, it won't affect vBulletin's functionality in any way. If you Revert It, you will lose any customisation you have made to template

In my Test Forum, in Threads with and without Reply Posts, the Mod Displays the Threads Fine and the Replies Just Fine. ;)

Any Particular Scenary I Can Check? Any Particular Thread URL Address I Can Write to try and Reproduce the Error?

(Perhaps in one of your Updates that Error was Corrected! ;))

It'd be Nice if someone with a vB37x Test Board could check this Mod and Confirm if it Works Fine. ;)

My Best Regards.

It was happening on every article thread. It could well be due to some vbulletin setting which you have configured differently.

Very Curious, It'd be Nice if some other User that has a Test Forum with vB37x confirms the Mod Working on it.

One Idea for Future Update: It'd be nice to have the Option to Create Threads on the Main Forum Specified as "Select the forum where articles are posted in (and retrieved from)", because currently that Forum isn't Listed on the "Post New Article" Combo Box DropDown List; only Categories (Sub-Forums) are Listed there, and in many cases that Articles Forum will be an Open Forum for Posting.

Only in the case I select an Article Forum that is Alone (without Sub-Forums) the Mod Displays it on the "Post New Article" DropDown List, in the other cases it Displays Only the Sub-Forums; perhaps is a Code Line in the Mod that is Not Including that Forum in the Scenary where the Forum has Sub-Forums.

Other Idea: It'd be nice that the DropDown Forum List where the Article Forum is Selected, would allow more than One Forum to be Selected and that the Mod Applies to all those Forums; that way it'd work not only in One Forum but in more than one.

Question: I noticed that the First Post (that Contains the Article) don't Displays the CheckBox to use the Mod Options; is it designed to work this way?

My Best Regards.

:)

Dejo la traducción al español.

Preguntas:
¿Hay que subirlo a la raíz del foro?
Si ya tengo un foro con mensajes, ¿Puedo añadirlo a Artículos?
Si quiero añadir un foro (como subforo) al Foro Artículos, ¿Se verá afectada la DB?

Saludos

I leave the translation into Spanish.

Questions:
are there to upload to root of the forum?
If i already have a forum with messages, can I add it to Articles?
If i want to add a forum (such as sub) to the Forum articles, what will be affected the DB?

Greetings
