My understanding is that the first poll option limits the placement to the navbar region. I do not wish for any shout/chat box application to be featured at the top of the page. I want to place the box at the bottom of the vbAdvanced portal page and the bottom of the forum page (as well as a fully functional dedicated page). If I am limited to the first option, I will likely use a different mod. That would be tragic, as this is the best application for the task.

Anyway, this will apply only to new pages. I mean not forumhome, nor forumdisplay nor showthread. Regarding the fully dedicated page it would still be there.

And for vbAdvanced, I rather plan to make an addon for my chatbox which would allow to place the chatbox in the middle or on the side as both wouldn't require the same graphical design.

Why I am asking that pool is because the second option would require quite a lot of templates modifications as you would need to edit many templates to add a single line of code. This is not the easiest way for installation but the easiest one for own customization.

I'll see what users would prefer and will adapt the way I have actually made it in the current version under development :)

As the progression is going well, I think I'll maybe release the new version at the end of the weekend and then will fastly work out the vbadvanced addon (if the chatbox is in a global var, you will be able to temporarly use the on all page functionnality for that purpose).

I chose the var so we can put it wherever we want... it adds a little extra work for the end user, but it is the most customizable option.

Yes this is what I think but I am not sure every user wants that ;)

Yes I agree with you but lots of people like the chatboxes to be shown everywhere, though it increase the number of queries made to the sql server !

Anyway this is a functionnality and users are not obliged to activate it so that's not a big deal ;)

Yes If you read carefully the help in the chatbox, the /del all command makes that :)
