I CAN NOT remove this product, no matter what I do. It says to upload the file 'kill_xperience.php" to your AdminCP and 'execute' it.
I've uploaded it to the admincp folder, and I'm assuming that just means that I open up my browser to 'forumdomain.net/admincp/kill_xperience.php' correct? I've done that, but I keep getting an internal server error. ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated. Maybe I'm just misunderstanding it when it says 'execute.' |
PLEASE!? An update for the VB4 release??
|
Man I wish this was for VB4. Only thing available similar to this costs money :(
|
vBExperience 4.0 is still in development.
|
joshskeety, which product are you talking about? i may be interested at this point

Is this not happening to everyone, is it just a few of us..? Any ideas as to why.. i really would be screwed if i stopped using it & uninstalled it now. |

Then mirrored the testforum from scratch, and did the following: 1. Installed mod (working) 2. Uninstall all plugins manually one by one. 3. Run kill_xperience.php 4. Installed the mod again (working) It worked. I can install and remove mod as many times I want with no problems as long as I rembember to uninstall all plugins one by one manually BEFORE running kill_xperience.php :) Please always test things on testforum before going live ;) |
Anyone else have this issue..?
And no one has a fix.? (or even an idea of what is causing it) Quote:

Error with GetActivityAll looks like an outdated file on server.

i posted this in another vbexperience thread, but realized it was for 3.7, i run 3.8.4patch2. So, i will repost it here since it is more relevant:
I installed the mod and it is great, no problems so far. For some reason i used the level 2 system, and it works fine but i wanted to go down to level 1, even after i imported it and recalculated the activity and points and such on the admincp experience tab it remains the same. not a big deal though. My biggest question is: We currently have the rank system put in place from vbulletin that ranks them up via post count. I like experience ranking system much better, but i want to use icons ( the military ones) to display their rank, not a bar. How is this done? Thanks! edit: i am using the beta, if that matters. and i searched the this thread as best i could and couldn't find a solution, sorry if this has been done before and im being annoying. |
Well... vb4 anytime yet???

I'm wondering if i should try & downgrade to 3.8.4.2 :erm: |
tks for posting this.
definitely a deal breaker for me as i got tons of mods and i cannot afford to do what you did! really really big pity. Quote:

My settings for this modification are not updating. All other modifications update fine. The modification will save all settings, but modules, and ONLY if I disable all the modules.
THE PSIStats page remains blank as well. |
vb activity is looking better and better all the time...

Good News:
A stable beta of vBExperience 4.0 will be released this week. vBExperience 4.0 has all features of vBExperience 3.8 like Rankings, Awards, Achievements, Promotions and of course the virtual Shop. Additionally it has been tight integrated into vBulletin 4.0 Forums and Publishing Suite look and feel. Support for addons will be included as soon as vBExperience 4.0 development reaches final stage. Upgrading from vBulletin 3.8 is very easy, just importing the Product XML, recount and all is done. |

You said you had a Beta 4. |
I've attached Beta 4, the last version for vBulletin 3.8 - Please don't install it in productive environment. No support for this.
|
Thanks.
Does it fix bugs from the previous Beta? |
Yes. I'm using it on my demo site. But it does not mean it works perfect on *your* forum. ;)
|
So if im having problems with Beta 3, than installing Beta 4 cant hurt any worse can it.?
I'm at the point where i need to uninstall anyway. (Profiles are not accessable at all right now) |
Upgrade to Beta 4, as this is the most stable 3.8.5 - I'm running this since September 2009 on my mainsite. If you upgrade correctly all files, the GetActivity Error should disappear.
|
awesome! My faith in VBexperience will be restored. :)
|
sweeet, thanx Phalynx
|

|
I am planing to install this to our 4.0.3 Forum, having 20k+ visitors/day.

I've updated the first post and attached the Beta 4 as the most stable version of 3.8.5 The official changelog for Beta 4: 3.8.5 Beta 4, 25th September 2009 - Promotions: Listing now also the last Usergroup. Please notice the new settings for nethermost/uppermost usergroups. - Several minor cosmetic changes - Clear Activities (except Shop) - Fixed error with GetActivityAll() on profile - Several Beta 3 fixes |
This doesn't run so smoothly and causes noticeable lag on my website. I have almost 600k users on my website, however, I will try the optimization suggestions and see what it does.
