This is not an error ! This is due to the fact that you have modified the templates of the chatbox in your forum and now that you have upgrade there are not up-to-date, you have to revert them and apply the changes again.

I've upgraded to V0.5.0 and still have 2 glitches:

1) Team Channel icon no longer blinks when there's a new message from another team channel member.

2) Team Channel doesn't use a member's chatbox preferences; uses the chatbox default font, font size, color.

If these 2 issues have already been addressed and/or resolved I missed them in the earlier posts. Sorry.

The rules in the chatbox (little "R" button).

I checked around and cannot figure out how to make the chatbox so that registered members can see the pics that are in the shouts. Right now all they see is a X box, the mods and admin can see the pic though.

everytime I activate this my site starts throwing database errors like crazy. not solid db errors like it shuts off but throughout the day ill get about 100+

I have also tried limiting to a usergroup of about 15 people and it still does it.

anyone else having this problem or experienced and could offer tips?

How many shouts are you displaying in the chatbox ?
What is your refresh rate ?
Are you using a shared/free host ?

i tried that fix ..did nothing to my forums so i took out the fix and still nothing template was a fresh template with nothing done to it...therefore nothing to revert

am running vb 3.7.2

with vbadvanced and some other mods that (dont have template edits)

I think he meant to tell you to click the button with the little question mark (?) rather then the one Rules button (R). That's where the explanations are.

Do those users have img bbcode rights ? If you look at the path of the image when not an admin or mod, what is the link ?

for those having problems with images, i had this issue but i worked it out in my case any how u just can't drop in a gif called "support.gif" it won't work, you need to drop in the gif twice into the channel folder.

mgc_cb_evo_sup_nosel

The sup for me indicated which channel it was for in my case support, adjust to whatever your rooms/images are called.

I have 5 channels setup and it now replaces flashchat

Yup this is due to the select. And if you have the blinking option too you have to add an image mgc_cb_evo_sup_new. :)

I'll breakdown what i did

Step 2 :
1/ Upload the files from the "Files" directory in your forum root

done, uploaded admincp, clientscript, includes folder along with the other two files.

2/ Upload the content of the "Images" directory in each of your forum styles directories

i assume this meant in the cpstyles folder so i uploaded the whole misc folder to each style in that folder

3/ Import the MGC Chatbox Evo product

not sure where i'm suppose to upload it but i uploaded it to the install folder...

4/ Go in your admincp, in the Language manager > Download/Upload language file and then :
- Select the language file from the "Lang" directory
- Select the forum language to overwrite
- Set the ignore language verison to Yes
- Launch upload

done

5/ If you plan adding the stats on the forumhome, go in your admincp and in the template manager and edit the FORUMHOME template and add the $mgc_cb_evo_stats where you want the stats to appear on your forum home.

6/ You are done with the chatbox install, you can now edit your usergroups permissions or proceed with adding commands
