Quick question about the arcade. There's probably an easy answer.

I have the arcade installed, and it's working great. However, I have the "Enable Arcade Awards" set to YES, but the awards are not showing up in postbits or profiles.

Is there an obvious setting I'm over-looking? Thanks.

Does anyone recommend some good games from vBulletingames.com ? I was on there downloading games the other day.. But its so hard to tell which games are good and which arent. Theres usually only 1 or 2 ratings for everygame..so its hard to tell.

I wish these guys would hurry up with their v3arcade.com site. Its been down for a long time now. Im guessing the games over there are more informative and rated?

I get blank pages whenever I try to add games I see the header and the new games name on it but nothing else, any help?

Why does there have to be 127 pages of garbage to find any useful info.. can SOMEONE explain in clear consise English HOW to add new games... Why this is NOT in the instructions is beyond me. Also from what I have read I believe I have installed the games right.. but when I go to import I get this error...

I've been trying to upload games via vbgames.com. Following the instructions to a T. (I mean they are very easy , simple installations compared to other's I've done), I keep getting this error each time I try to run the install . (point to browser).

Anyone know why this is happening? What am I missing here. All files are installed in proper folders. Do I need a permission to upload? is there a setting I need to adjust?

You got a misnamed folder for one. Just noticed it when looking again.

.../home/gamerzp/public_html/admin1cp/arcadeadmin.php on line 600

Bet that is the issue.

Game shouldn't be in /admincp/ should be put in .../forums/admincp/games/ for installing. You missed part of the directions.

I've tried having them all unzipped in that dir, same error, everything deleted.

Chris thanks for you help, but when I put the install folder in the suggested area, this is now the response I get.

some of my user scores for pacman etcare not adding to the top score.but are showing up as their personal top score
scores eg of 45,000+

can the arcade handle those big numbers?

I figured it out. The folders Admincp/Games, Images/Arcade, and the Games Folder itself have to be CHMOD 777 in order to upload any games. After doing this, games uploaded in a flash. Litterly. :-)

nanaca crash, just a simple power/angle game.

About half of the games I have don't install, they just get deleted when I try to import, that particular one is what I want to work the most :)

I am trying to install some games but when I upload the .tar files, they don't show when I try to run the import. It says there are no games there, but I have chmod the folders and everything.

OK, I've been playing the arcade for a while, and here's what's going on. After you play the game, there are some games that automatically update the scoreboard and some that allow you to submit a score by clicking on submit.

When you submit a score, everything is fine, but when the game automatically updates the highscore board for that game, I get the following message:

userxxx, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?

2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

3. You may be on a temporary no posting status due to violation of the forum rules.

didnt used to have this problem before switching servers
