I'm fixing some of the sites that don't work. I got google, youtube, ifilms and metacafe working so far. I would release this but I don't know how to get permission since the author hasn't been on.

I would like to just release this. I have it running on a fresh install of 3.7. Everything works so far except playing another sites flv in the media player. But I'm not sure why you would want that anyway. I've also added some other sites to it.

Most of the time its just the sites changing the urls for the videos.

I just tried it this morning with a video from YouTube that I was watching in one tab of my browser...didn't work in vBulletin.

It's not just sites changing the urls...it goes beyond that.

I get a funny error with youtube ...

Take this link for example : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8BEehG3

Works in browser and when i click on Download it.
But in the player window i just get "failed" ...

Any ideas ???

I looked at it again. I see what you mean. I got a fix for it though. You just need to add http://es.youtube.com to the allowed list. I have it working on a test site.

Also does anyone know if Crist left an okay to release an updated version? I don't want to step on any toes.

I will release it if i can get permission. I fixed the bugs that I know about but I didn't fix it so you could play another sites video in the anymedia player. Just don't see the point in that.

I'm also having a hard time understanding why the es.youtube thing would cause the entire mod to stop working for the main www.youtube.com site? it's for a different country from what we're in and what our users are posting with. how would that cause videos to not work overall for the regular www.youtube.com site?

I'm still having problems on our site when I try and put youtube video in posts.

Man, I want this so bad, I need an updated version for vB 3.6.7 PL1 ... I installed it but its not working, none of my previous Media Tags from before the upgrade show up working :( ... Anyone know when an updated version for vB 3.6.7 PL1 of this mod will be released?
