Sub-Forums to the selected 'Article Forum' will be shown as categories.

That's the problem, I don't want to mix the news section with the adult section. Just thought it would be a great feature to add multi forum ID's to the config.

You should be able to do that just by turning that permission off in the Forum Manager.

...thanks, DJ...

Also found out you can just close the thread, too. Yet...as an "article" forum, most threads are informative any way, without the need for comments. Why not just have that ability to turn comments on/off when creating the article?

Also...

I have a few items showing up in the Comment postbit, that I don't want there...but there isn't the ability to remove them...nothing related to them in the comment postbit section of the AdminCP mod.

Digital Jedi 06-05-2009 06:19 PM

On the other side of that spectrum :D one enhancement I'm making to the postbit is a Tcat bar beneath the first post that says COMMENTS.

Saviour 06-05-2009 06:47 PM

I created an article, welcoming users to the new article section...and made it a sticky when I created it. Yet, on the articles.php page, it just moves down to the next article. I know I can sort these, manually, using the tools on the articles.php page, but I want it to appear as the first article on that page...and remain as the first article on that page.

Any suggestions?

Personally...and this is just me...as an article forum, none of the postbit info should be carried over to the articles. Makes it look like a forum...when it should just be for articles. The person who posted the article...should just have their username and time it was posted...same for Comments. I have so many mods I'm using that add things to the postbit...and that information cannot be removed from the postbit unless I edit it in the style I'm using and that defeats the other mods' use in other areas of my board.

I hope you can see my point...

One more thingy...heh...

WOL reads "Unknown location" for articles.php. This needs to be addressed, as well.

I'll be using a child style with all the hooks, or most of them, stripped out just for that. You can override a users style choice for an individual forum in the Forum Manager and a child style will keep what you want form the parent style and not what you remove. Pretty much what I had been doing all along with the plugin I was using. Still am using it in some places.
