We've never tested it with RSS imported posts to be honest. Check the database (the "post" table) to see if there's any difference between a post that was imported and made manually.

I have installed everything like it should be yet there is no buttons showing to give likes/ thanks. is this mod a paid version and that is the reason it isn't working?

Have you set up your usergroup permissions for Can Click in the Button Management interface?

Seeing that I cannot connect to dbtech I will have to post here. I am having a problem with digitalpoint ad placement mod and this mod. The moment I enable the thanks mod, my ads don't show.

If I will buy a Pro licence, and after a while I will migrate to vBulletin 5, I'll need a new Pro licence to buy?

i believe what the db team is doing is this if you get the lifetime for vb 4.x.xx

when you migrate to vb 5.x.x they will discount this for 5

its very much like vb you get a liftime for 4.x.xx you have to buy vb 5.x.xx if you choose to get vb5

What LLent said is accurate, you'll have to pay a small upgrade fee to upgrade your licence to the vB5 version.

We currently offer 2 licence upgrades from vB4; Dual Licence and Replacement Licence. The Dual Licence, as the name implies, lets you run the mod on both vB4 and vB5. Replacement Licence replaces the vB4 licence with a vB5 licence.

Replacement Licences are 25% of the cost of a new licence, whereas Dual is 50%.

Or remove a dislike i received ?

Just recently we had a member click the dislike out of fun but we want to remove those dislike and just keep the likes if you understand

Delete the dislike one then run maintenance then readd the dislike again

Or login to your hosting cpanel and remove it there

Or give the group this guy belongs to the option to untick dislike

I recommend the last one

The Pro version lets you delete an entry via the Search interface :)

Hey, I'm trying to get it to display here - otherwise I don't want to use it. I tried the manual install but it doesn't display properly. Is there a way? Did anyone figure it out?

That is a Pro-only feature :)

Unfortunately that would require undoing everything that makes it "lightweight" - it's made explicitly so that modifications won't run.

I have installed this on a fresh install Vb4.2.1

I uploaded everything in "upload" folder, CHMOD777 the right folders.
Installed product.

The last step I am unable to complete as it is not there in the admin control panel.

4. Configure your Usergroup settings by clicking "Manage Buttons" under
"DBTech - Post Thanks" in your AdminCP navigation menu, then
editing each button and setting your usergroup permissions from there.

Edit: I am super-admin already.

Also, do I upload the dbtech folder to forum root or do I go into the dbtech folder and then upload all contents?

In your instructions it says to upload "all" folders inside the "upload folder". So I uploaded dbtech to the root directory of the forum and CHMOD to 0777 /dbtech/thanks/vbactivity_type

As you see, the background of the thank and like button is black, which was difficult to see. How can I change the background color of this?

P/s: the others custom style and default style work fine. Only this custom style has that issue.

This is most commonly the result of CSS settings, namely the background attribute of the .postbitlegacy .postfoot .textcontrols a, .postbit .postfoot .textcontrols a, .eventbit .eventfoot .eventcontrols a { CSS class, in postbit.css.
To fix it, please try the following steps:

Step 1) Remove all the contents of the postbit_control_background StyleVar.
Step 2) If that didn't fix it, please enter the postbit.css file and find the .postbitlegacy .postfoot .textcontrols a, .postbit .postfoot .textcontrols a, .eventbit .eventfoot .eventcontrols a { CSS class, and remove the background: definition.

I was able to have this coded for Darthos Lightweight Style and it works on that with notifications too.

That will only happen if someone tries to access thanks.php before the installation has completed fully :)

Try clicking "Rebuild Bitfields" under the "Rebuild" AdminCP menu group.

This mod supports multiple different buttons whereas that mod only supports "Thanks", this mod integrates with other DBTech products like vBActivity, DBGallery and vBQuiz, as well as multiple other vB features like Blogs, Visitor Messages and User Notes :)

Ive installed on my 4.2.1 but I dont see the thank you or like button to clikc to thank or like a thread.

I do see under each user a button to expand and show how many they h ave thanked though.

Please edit the buttons in the Button Management screen and set their Can Click permissions.

I have installed it, but it is not shown in the Admin CP of my active Forum! In my test forum is displayed.

Does it integrate with user tagging as well? I was able to get someone to get that working with the lightweight style along with the notifications. He is pretty sure he can get this to work with the lightweight mod as well.

If that doesn't help, disable any AdminCP navigation enhancement products you may have installed :)

This mod doesn't integrate with AUT as far as I can remember.
