I am using it with 3.6.4 and 3.6.5 should be no different. There are some unresolved problems with flash media sources using the anymedia flash players. Some of those issues can be worked around by not using the anymedia flash player and you can select not to in the admin cp. Despite the shortcomings, anymedia is a worthwhile install in my opinion. I just wish the creator would pick up the support again and get all the problems worked out.

It is a pain that there is not more it supports for this mod. :(

It should have this way more mods, or some form of embedding videos in the forums, we are being late in front of the blogs.

And the videos are fundamental to give attractiveness to the forums.

Mecho 04-07-2007 03:03 PM

is it possible that someone check DailyMotion links with this hack ???

i think its not working anymore .

thanks

thanks for answering!

I've already have sent a PM to Crist (the maker of this mod) and i hope that he can upgrade it for us. Because this was the only good mod for inserting media into the forum.

princeedward 04-08-2007 07:43 PM

we can only hope and beg the original creator or great coder of this great mode to be upgrade or back to his working mode once again...so let's all add or all together post here to beg him...to make this great mod once again....

so come all of you guys...and add your post here to make this work again....

Tralala 04-08-2007 08:33 PM

Luckily this mod still works for me (running vB 3.6.4)

After Crist got burnt out developing this and moved on, Adult SEO picked up the mantle:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=133204

wideopen 04-13-2007 02:05 PM

I just installed this on 3.5.* I've noticed that I sometimes have to refresh in order to see the Media player?

Tralala 04-13-2007 07:47 PM

Yeah, that's normal, a byproduct of AJAXy QuickEdit and QuickReply.

Crazy Serb 04-14-2007 03:04 PM

now, I know Anymedia has this functionality along with tons of others... but I just need this one functionality - I need to allow flash player playback of media files (mp3 mostly and/or only) when added as attachments.

is there another product out there that is able to do just this and nothing else?

as in, if the attachment added is MP3 format, it automatically displays the flash player (preferrably the one from Jeroen -> http://www.jeroenwijering.com/?item=Flash_MP3_Player) and allows the user to play that file directly in the thread?

help?!

(why not use Anymedia? it messed up my vbAdvanced installation and vb 3.6.4)

MissKalunji 04-19-2007 08:33 PM

Im not sure if anyone else figured it out...but why the FLV video don't play in ANymedia or this one (in IE is a bug there is IN the swf file...not the script itself....I've tried using OTHER swf file giving in other scripts like http://www.jeroenwijering.com and it works fine. You can test here : http://www.dancehallareaz.com/forum/...off-stage.html

but you would have to register cause my flv are in attachement

Tralala 04-21-2007 10:19 PM

Amidst all the moaning an groaning around here, I was concerned about future vB installs of this old faithful favorite Anymedia player by Crist. Mine was working fine, but then again I'd been upgrading all along since 3.5, so I considered myself lucky.

Well, I just installed a seperate clean vBulletin, version 3.6.5, and figured I'd give it a try before going down other roads. I wasn't looking forward to those... none are as easy and as configurable as this one by Crist. His is certainly the easiest for embedding Google and YouTube Video!

Well... guess what? It still works fine.

Just wanted to share that good news, in case others were hesitant to give it a shot.

doesn't work: Error: Failed to parse file URL.

they must have changed their URL format.

no prob. sorry I'd have no idea how to fix it. you're probably better off asking in this other thread: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=133204

Adult SEO has picked up the torch apparently and is trying to take Crist's work forward.

fasteddie 04-25-2007 07:12 AM

Something in this mod is screwing up my vBAdvanced homepage, where some links, like http://forumurl.com/member.php?u=992 are wrong, as it should be http://forumurl.com/forums/member.php?u=992

Disabling the mod immediately fixes this problem. Any ideas? I really want to use this mod!

What is the difference between this mod for 3.5 and the other for 3.6?

Other than working on different versions, what's the difference?

I'm currently using the 3.6 modification from Adult SEO, but there's a good deal of it that still doesn't work...is that the case with the 3.5 version?

EDIT: I went ahead and installed this mod and must say I'm much more impressed. Works great on 3.6.5!

digital3 04-29-2007 04:30 PM

Yet another mod that does absolutely nothing when installed.

I mean nothing at all.

Not even the template modifications are showing up...

This hack has installation instructions that even a child could follow so why doesn't it simply work?

kamaldarwish 04-29-2007 07:41 PM

I have installed the hack on vb 3.6.0
MP3 works.
RAM reads the file but doesn't play it !!! What could be the problem?

RedGTiVR6 04-29-2007 11:27 PM

digital3 -

it worked on my board.

If you're testing ALL media types, beware that not all media types are supported yet.

SteveOh_UK 05-06-2007 06:37 PM

installed but not working.... uninstalling

RedGTiVR6 05-06-2007 08:48 PM

Not even going to try and troubleshoot?

Works fine for me and quite a few others...

nureeves 05-08-2007 01:22 AM

To show video, I have to reload page twice

may i know why?

rabbits slayer 05-08-2007 04:39 AM

I like this mod alot, except half the time I have to refresh it so many times.

puertoblack2003 05-21-2007 12:07 AM

any updates for newer version???

Gommeke 05-23-2007 05:36 PM

This is working as it should on the server side, but all the users see is a white space in the player.

And this is what the server log has to say about it.

Yes ive installed this hack loong time ago and it has been working fine but recently it has stopped. I am with ASO also, anybody else? What happened a week or so ago was, they installed a new security feature which was suhosin. After i edited my style templates i was not able to save them, so they tweaked something to fix this problem.

Now i realised this hack was not working due to ASO installing suhosin, i asked them to see to this problem for me as it could be related, they said no. So if their saying no, and here we have people like yourself Skavenger with the same problem as me.

I would like to ask everybody who's hack is not working, who are you hosting with?

Carlos2 06-09-2007 03:08 PM
