@mycolombus,
This is an interim version released due to the discovery of a security vulnerability (thank-you eoc_Jason for reporting :)). Upgrade instructions are exactly the same as described in the release notes. A newer version (v1.7) will be released shortly with various enhancements. Juan |
Thanks Juan!

croft,
the urls you should submit to Google are: http://www.world-trance.com/forum/sitemap_index.xml.gz http://www.world-trance.com/forum/sitemap_1.xml.gz These files are located in vbseo_sitemap/data/ folder and are working from forumsroot/ because you've added the mod_rewrite rule to .htaccess. This is the most frequently asked question in this thread. :) |
Uhg. Getting the following errors with 1.6. 1.4 worked fine for me before. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the product to no avail.
Warning: gzopen(/home/XXX/public_html/forums/vbseo_sitemap/data/sitemap_1.xml.gz): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/XXX/public_html/forums/vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_sitemap_functions.php on line 412 Warning: gzopen(/home/XXX/public_html/forums/vbseo_sitemap/data/sitemap.txt.gz): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/XXX/public_html/forums/vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_sitemap_functions.php on line 415 Warning: gzwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/XXX/public_html/forums/vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_sitemap_functions.php on line 423 Warning: gzwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/XXX/public_html/forums/vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_sitemap_functions.php on line 434 Warning: gzwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/XXX/public_html/forums/vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_sitemap_functions.php on line 437 (the last two lines keep repeating until I hit stop) -vissa EDIT: By changing the ownership and group ownership of all files within DATA to "nobody" I was able to run this successfully. Note this was not previously required. |
The instructions within the zip file posted here (1.6) have an incorrect replacement string for .htaccess (the .htaccess file included is fine -- just the one in the readme is incorrect).

The permissions requirement can be met by either allowing write access to "everyone" (chmod 0777 for data/ folder) or to assign the owner attribute to the one used to run php scripts. Quote:

I need to uninstall and reistall it fresh again, It run a query? If yes, whant DB query i need to drop, if not, just remove all upload file, please confirm that?

Hi Masiello,
You don't need to uninstall it to perform an upgrade, just make sure to set "Overwrite" option to "Yes" when you install a new vBSEO Sitemap Generator xml product. The installer has no own db queries (it only contains the admincp options definition). |
